Jeffrey and Marie met through their love of the water. In 2022 Marie was working as the sailing coordinator at the Dillon Marina, where Jeff stored his racing sailboat. One of Marie's many jobs included hauling Jeff's boat in and out of the water via the marina's crane. In September of 2022 Marie would be running the Chicago Marathon, the longest race of any kind she had ever trained for. Throughout the summer it had become known that Jeff, the long-haired, one-legged, yacht club racer of a boat named "Your Mom", had run many marathons himself. After a little encouragement from a friend, Marie eventually asked Jeff for advice on how to train for and run 26.2 miles injury-free. After that first summer, Marie knew she had met someone special. Life, however, knew the two weren't ready for each other quite yet. The following two years Jeffrey traveled all around the world in pursuit of making Team USA for skeleton and snowboard cross, competed in marathons and Ironman races, became a private pilot, and won too many regattas to count. Marie spent 3 months living in London and traveling around Europe, continued working at both the Dillon Marina and as a Snowboard/Ski instructor for Vail Resorts, found her love for training and competition again, and began moving towards a life that she truly desired. During the summer of 2024 the world was finally ready for Jeff and Marie's love to ignite. Since their first date, running on the Keystone bike path, the pair have been inseparable; they found a true best friend and life partner in each other. Jeff spent the winter of 24/25 traveling anywhere from 2-5 hours up and down the hill from Broomfield to Summit County to spend what little time they could manage around their busy schedules. In April of 2025, Marie and Leo moved down the hill and in with Jeff. On any given day the pair can be found running, biking, swimming, sailing, snowboarding, camping, flying, traveling, or watching movies together. After five secretive months of planning, on a sailboat in St. Lucia, Jeffrey asked Marie to spend the rest of their lives together on February 20th, 2026. While they don't know what future seas may hold, they know that together they can weather anything.

No, the wedding will take place on the beach in Villas, Cape May, NJ. The reception venue is still being decided.
We are still working on this depending on reception venue. As of now, we recommend carpooling or biking.
Most things on the peninsula are fairly close. We know a couple guests will have rental cars or will be driving down with their own vehicles. We are also working with a local bike shop to rent bikes for those who would like to get around via bike. Stay tuned for more information regarding the bike rental option.
Due to our small size and budget, please check with us before bringing along a plus-one.
