How we met
We met in a Computer Science class at the University of British Columbia. 👩🏻💻👨🏼💻 As some of you might know, Mariana isn't the biggest fan of programming, but this class was mandatory for her. Luckily, she stumbled across the most perfect human being who helped her with her assignments and skipped classes so that he could get to know her. 💓
How he proposed
Alex knows that Mariana doesn't like big audiences. Since both of them graduated during times of a pandemic, they never got to have a nice graduation. Years later, UBC planned some ceremonies to make up for the missed graduations in 2020. For the graduation, her best friend and parents flew to Vancouver to share the experience together. 🎓 With the most special people in her life right next to her, he knew it was the perfect moment to take her to a private forest next to the ceremony and ask her. She excitedly thought he was going to give her bubble tea as a surprise, it turns out it was a very lovely shiny stone! 💍

Although our story began in Vancouver, we decided on Mexico because of its accessibility to many of our close guests. Tepoztlan is a cute town with many activities that align with our interests: yoga, mountains, craft markets, great food, and great weather. 🗻🌮🌞 If you've never been to Mexico, we are sure you will love all the good things that it has to offer and can't wait to experience it all with you! 💓
