How we Met...and then re met!
We met in 2018 in New York through our best friends. Pete had a crush...but Chachi forgot he was even there. Fast forward to March 2022, Pete and Chachi sat next to each other at a group dinner with friends. Pete got his chance again. Chachi couldn't stop laughing at dinner and has been laughing ever since. Kudos Sophia and Sam, but also our godson Ishmael!

Question
What time is the Ceremony & Reception?
Answer
Please arrive to the ceremony (special invite only) by 3:45 pm. Seating will begin shortly before the ceremony at 4:00 pm. There will be cocktail hour immediately after the ceremony. Reception will begin promptly at 5:45 pm.

What if I am late for the ceremony?
Answer
Please be on time! The doors will shut promptly at 3:45 pm so that the wedding party can make their entrance. While "Habesha time" is a thing, the venue doesn't believe or care for it. If you happen to be late our coordinator Sha will guide you.

What should I wear?
Answer
Formal...dress to impress! Traditional wear welcome. We will be indoors w/ AC, but please keep in mind summertime in the DMV can be quite hot and humid.

Can I use my phone?
Answer
The bride and groom kindly ask that you stow your phone and keep it on silent during the ceremony so that you are fully present. There will be a hired professional photographer and we will share those pictures with you! You are free to use your phones during the cocktail hour and reception. Thank you in advance!

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately no. As much as we would love to have them there, we are limited on seating. Thank you so much for understanding!

What food will be served?
Answer
We are going to be serving traditional Ethiopian food. There will be vegetarian and vegan options available. Please note Ethiopian food is traditionally eaten with the hands.

Is there parking available?
Answer
On Street Parking is available throughout Downtown Frederick. There are five public parking garages available throughout Downtown offering convenient, affordable parking options (Carroll Creek Garage, Church Street Garage, Court Street Garage etc.)
