We met through the app that is meant to be deleted... and indeed it was! Adrian suggested to meet at a bar called Tipsy Flamingo, where we both got immediately carried away in conversation about our lives. He told me he was a bad dancer so I refused to dance with him all night... but little did I know that we would be dancing together for the rest of our lives. I had it all planned out, I got the ring a couple of weeks before our trip to Cancun, I was going to propose to her on her birthday, during a candlelit dinner on the beach, with a photographer snapping pictures and taking videos of the moment. However, I thought of Maria and realized that that’s not her, it’s not me, it’s not us, and opted instead to write her a letter letting her know how much I love her and what she means to me. She read the letter on the balcony of our room and while I won’t get into the specifics of what’s in the letter, I will say that I ended it by asking her that if she felt the same way, then I would love to spend the rest of my life with her. With tears running down her face, she responded with a resounding yes and changed the trajectory of our lives forever. Ella leyó la carta en el balcón de nuestra habitación y aunque no entraré en los detalles de lo que dice la carta, diré que terminé preguntándole que si ella sentía lo mismo, entonces me encantaría pasar el resto de mi vida con ella. Con lágrimas corriendo por su rostro, respondió con un rotundo sí y cambió la trayectoria de nuestras vidas para siempre.
