Hilltop Hugs and Handshakes

4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Welcome to the kick-off event of a fun weekend! If you're in town, come to hilltop and meet the party. Plan to enjoy a mountain bike ride or walk/hike on the trails or just sit in the sun. After the ride or walk plan to grab a bite at Finn's at the base of Hilltop and get to know everyone.

Welcome Beer Hour

8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Settle in to Talkeetna and come hang out before the big day. No rehearsal dinner here, so leave the formal wear at home. We’ll be pouring beers outside at our venue on the Talkeetna Village Airstrip, so bring a jacket and swing on by after sampling one of the local restaurants. If you're hungry for a late night snack, we'll have pizza.

Fly In

12:00 pm

The Village Strip

We’re getting married on an airstrip, so we encourage you to fly your airplane into the wedding if you can. We have plenty of plane parking at the venue but please RSVP if you think you might fly in so we can get a tail count and make a parking plan.

Ceremony & Reception

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Sundresses and Slacks: We will be outdoors in the grass, so skip the suit and tie and opt for something more casual and colorful.

Expect this event to feel more like a backyard barbecue than a wedding. The ceremony will be followed by drinks, food, and socializing. Very little seating will be available, so we advise all guests to bring camp chairs or a blanket to sit on for the proceedings.

Pie Potluck

6:00 pm

Wedding cakes are boring. Fire up the ovens and your creativity and bring a homemade pie to share, who knows maybe your pie will win a sweet prize for best in show. Maren says extra style points for gluten-free entries but not required. We understand many guests are traveling so if you're a local please participate and if you're traveling but would like to borrow a local oven before the wedding let us know. Please RSVP if you can participate so we can get a pie count. We know pie's are hard, so if you're not up to the pie challenge but would like to bring another homemade dessert please do.

After Party

Sat, Jul 11, 2026, 9:00 pm - Sun, Jul 12, 2026, 12:00 am

Alaska Glam—bring your sequins and furs for a fun night out

If you’d like to keep the party going after the kegs float, wander over to the Fairview Inn for a taste of the local night life. Enjoy live music, drinks, and dancing at an historical Talkeetna landmark. The Fairview is a short walk from the venue.

Sunday, July 12, 2026

Parent's Pop Up Breakfast Buffet

9:00 am - 10:00 am

The Parent's will be hosting a pop-up brunch buffet outside the Talkeetna Cabins. Shuffle over for some coffee and pasties and say "Buon Viaggio!" to the new couple before they depart on their Honeymoon.

Travel

After flying into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, we recommend renting a car to make the 2 hour drive to Talkeetna. If you prefer, The Park Connection also runs a shuttle bus twice a day between downtown Anchorage and Talkeetna. See below for hotels in Talkeetna that we recommend. There are also lots of great options on Airbnb, but we do recommend staying in Talkeetna or off the Talkeetna Spur Road (not in Caswell or Willow) for access to amenities and the charming town of Talkeetna.
