Basin Head Provincial Park

318 Basin Head Road, Souris, PE C0A 2B0, Canada

Basin Head Provincial Park, also known as the Singing Sands Beach, is a popular beach in Prince Edward Island, Canada, known for its unique white sand that produces a "singing" or squeaking sound when walked on. This phenomenon is caused by the high silica content and the shape of the sand grains. The park offers amenities like washrooms, change rooms, and an ice cream shop, and is a popular destination for its beauty and the unique sound of its sand.

FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal / Dressy Casual: Men: Suit and tie or dress slacks with a button-down shirt. Women: Cocktail dresses, skirts, or dressy separates.

Question

Is there an outdoor component?

Answer

Yes! The cocktail hour and ceremony will take place outside, if weather permits. We will have a plan B should the weather not allow us to have our ceremony outside.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! We will have a cocktail hour providing snacks and a dinner after the wedding ceremony. However, we will not have an open bar and guests will have to pay for their drinks.

Question

Is there parking available on-site?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available on-site.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We feel truly lucky to have everything we need for this chapter in our lives. Your presence at the wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you wish to give a gift, a contribution toward our future together would be truly appreciated.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation to our wedding will indicate whether a plus-one has been included. Due to limited venue space, we're only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation, and we truly appreciate your understanding in respecting this.

Question

When should we RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by May 1, 2026. This will give everyone plenty of time to book flights, accommodations and make travel arrangements, and it helps us finalize our plans with the venue. If you want, you can obviously RSVP before that date.
