Our Story

May 7,2024

Mike messaged me 3 days before I was cancelling a dating site we both were on.He asked if I would like to talk. I said yes. We talked for about a week or two and then decided to go out for lunch at Panera in the Marketplace in HamiltonSquare. I wasn’t familiar with the area and I called him to say I would be a bit late. He was very nice and said not to worry he would wait for me. When I arrived he was leaning on a chair watching the door. He smiled when he saw me walk in. I was so nervous. We talked for over 2 hours there and then he asked if I’d like to see where he lived since it was close by. I felt very comfortable with him,and I didn’t want to end our lunch,so I went. Later that day my daughter was upset that I went with him. She said he could be a crazy person. We laugh about that now. He drove us in his Tesla and showed me his house as well as a collection of movie posters and memorabilia. Then he took me back to my car and said he hoped he would see me again. We started seeing each other often, and discovered so many coincidences about our lives. He shared his love of family as well as his spirituality with Eckankar. I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about it. Since learning about Eckankar, I started studying and going to seminars with Mike. I’ve become an Eckist and have met so many wonderful loving people and many have become friends. We both lost our spouses on the same day just different years apart. We were both shocked at that coincidence. Mike lived in Bucks County and graduated from the same school as my kids. It was an easy transition being with each other and by Thanksgiving of 2024 6 months after meeting Mike, he asked me to move in with him. We developed an easy way of sharing our experiences and our relationship grew. We both have children and grandchildren and meeting each other’s families took time. On my birthday October 3rd, we spent a fantastic day together. The weather was sunny and warm. We hiked to a cave Mike wanted to show me, I thought I’d never make it back to the car. But Mike was patient and helped me climb out. We then went to Ringing Rocks Park. We walked and talked and finally Mike got down on one knee and in a hushed voice asked me to be his wife. I was so surprised. I couldn’t believe how happy we were. We both started laughing, crying, hugging each other. I of course said yes, and then he gave me a beautiful ring. I was stunned. We started texting our children we were both so excited and happy. We were going to the Black Bass restaurant in Bucks County for dinner that night and had to change in the car, after our adventures of the day. We both were floating on air. It was an amazing day and we had a fabulous dinner to celebrate our engagement. We are both so grateful to have this beautiful amazing life that we will now share together. This is truly a very special time for us. We realized how lucky we are to have found each other and anyone who knows us can see how happy we both are.
