Directions from the Ocean Course parking lot to the beach, follow these steps: 1. Vehicle Parking: Park in any of the 2 public lots located before you reach the main entrance of the clubhouse. One lot will be on the left and the other on your right. Bike Parking: There is a designated bike rack located on the lefthand side prior to arriving at the main entrance of the clubhouse. 2. Follow the golf path that circles the left hand side of the clubhouse. Follow the path that leads from the clubhouse area toward the beach (you will pass the putting green on your right and driving range on your left). 3. Continue walking on the pathway until you reach a beach path. Follow the path until you arrive on the beach. Look for umbrellas and a large crowd of people. Kiawah Island Resort
The Kiawah Island Golf Resort also offers a wide range of rental opportunities for villas or houses. During the peak season by summer months, all villas and homes other than one and two bedroom scenic view villas require an 8 night stay. The advantage of booking the villas is that you get access to resort amenities (which you can see on their website). KIGR guests will receive complimentary on-island transportation as well as full access to resort and Sanctuary amenities. Please note, the Kiawah Island Resort transportation only goes to their properties and amenities (It will not go to the wedding reception at River Course). For 10% discount: Please call 1-866-763-5056 for assistance with group reservations. You will be connected to a reservations agent at that time. Pleases tell the agent that you need to book a villa/room for the Turner event or use code # 21266 to receive 10% off nightly rates on villas, homes and the Sanctuary hotel. For guests booking online, you can note in the comments section the wedding name & include the booking ID code, however, the reservations will not be automatically or immediately linked with the wedding group or secured at the group rate/discount at the time of booking as the reservation agent will have to manually link the reservation to the event.

The Andell Inn
The Andell Inn is a Marriott property just steps away from charming Freshfields Village, which offers shops, a grocery store, and several bars and restaurants. The Andell Inn is 5 minutes from the Kiawah Island Main Gate so it is a bit removed from beach access and other island events, but still a great option. This hotel does not offer discounts for wedding room blocks, and it is more economical for individuals to book on their own. Currently, their rates are similar if not more to renting a villa on Kiawah, but they are a nice option if you prefer a hotel. Please note that shuttle services or ride share services will not be available to the Andell Inn after the reception so plan accordingly.

Things To Do
Freshfields Village
Freshfields Village is located near the entrance of Kiawah Island; it is home to fun restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and even a spa. Mallory and Lucas recommend Café Eugenia for breakfast and lunch.
Bike
Kiawah is a prime destination for biking - either on the designated bike paths or on the beach itself. A couple rental options to book in advance are below: If you are renting a villa or home through Kiawah Resort, feel free to rent bikes online (kiawahresort.com/recreation/bike-rentals/) or by phone (843-768-6001). If you are staying at the Sanctuary, bikes will be made available to you through the hotel. If you are staying at another location, feel free to rent from Seacoast Sports (seacoastsports.com) or by phone (843-768-8486) located directly in Freshfields Village. Take a look at the map below to help plan out your ride. The orange lines indicate the designated bike paths, however, there are also beautiful (and quiet) streets that are enjoyable to bike down that do not have a designated bike path. Mallory and Lucas recommend checking out the below restaurants (and since it is peak season, you will likely need reservations to eat at most restaurants): - La Tela Pizzeria (133 Village Green Ln, Kiawah Island, SC 29455) - Fun and convenient - Jasmine Porch (1 Sanctuary Beach Dr, Kiawah Island, SC 29455) - A Southern style restaurant (breakfast, Lunch and dinner). Biscuits and the shrimp and grits are a must! -Cantina 76 (219 Farm Lake View Rd, Kiawah Island, SC 29455): If you would like to revisit Mallory and Lucas' first date! :) -Lobby Bar at the Sanctuary Hotel: Beautiful ocean view with indoor and outdoor seating. No need to be staying at the hotel to enjoy a lovely cocktail! Open until 11pm. -Café Eugenia (209 Farm Lake View Rd, Johns Island, SC 29455): Great spot for Breakfast + lunch.
Bohicket Marina & Market
Bohicket Marina is located between Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. The marina offers charters, boat rentals, kayak rentals, shops, and restaurants. There are often live bands playing outdoors on the weekend.
Kiawah Golf
Public Beach Access At Beachwalker County Park
Kiawah Island boasts 10 miles of pristine beach and is comprised of two areas commonly referred to as East Beach and West Beach. Behind the gate, many private beach accesses are available to property owners, their guests, and renters. Beachwalker County Park is the only public beach access outside the front gate. It is located on the west end (West Beach) of Kiawah Island.
