Our Love Story

It all started on September 2022, on a bus ride to Cumming, Georgia for a wine tour celebrating a friend’s birthday. At the time, our best friends were dating, and our friend group would always mention how good we’d look together. We had known of each other from afar for some time, but this trip gave us the opportunity to truly get to know one another. Ironically, we were never single at the same time before then, so the timing had never quite aligned. But once it finally did, everything seemed to fall into place naturally. During the wine tasting, it started drizzling outside. Shawn offered Maddie his jacket and a drink so we could continue talking, and what started as casual conversation quickly turned into effortless connection, laughter, and playful banter that made the rest of the day unforgettable. Just a couple weeks later, we went on our first official date at a Haitian-inspired restaurant, chosen because of Maddie’s love for Haitian cuisine. The restaurant was great, but what made the night truly memorable was that neither of us seemed ready for it to end. After dinner, we spontaneously decided to go to an arcade, where we spent the rest of the night laughing, competing, and enjoying each other’s company even more. From there, our relationship grew naturally and effortlessly. We officially began dating in February 2023 and quickly realized how much we had in common — our love for family, shared values, similar sense of humor, and even our mutual love for sports. The more time we spent together, the more we recognized how compatible we truly were. Together, we traveled the world and created unforgettable memories in places like Ibiza, Peru, and Jamaica, to name a few. Through every experience, our connection only became stronger.
