The Story
They're from completely different worlds—Kyle’s from Michigan, Madison’s from South Carolina—and somehow, they crossed paths in Utah of all places. They like to say they met at a bar—which is technically true—but the real story involves a little modern magic and some swiping skills. Their first date ended with Madison effortlessly out-drinking Kyle. (He swears it was the altitude!) And things only got better from there. Since then, they've raised two dogs from puppyhood: Ruger, the perfect angel baby, and Klaus, the certified tornado. Then came the house. Kyle, the real estate mogul, couldn’t stop talking about the potential ARV of a massive fixer-upper that Madison definitely did not want to buy (honestly, just way too much to clean). But love, a good sales pitch and a perfectly-timed sunset showing won, so they stripped it down to the sub-floor and decided that was the perfect time to add Klaus to the chaos. In the meantime, Madison's massive yellow Stryker van has been a bit of an eyesore in the driveway, but thankfully, there's no HOA to report them. Little wins, right? Kyle's tried his best to convert Madison into the next Artic Cat addict—with limited success—but he did manage to win her over in golf, thanks to a little help from Gramma Zack. A few hand-me-down clubs later, Madison's favorite is the 5-wood, affectionately nicknamed "Gramma" by all her friends. In return, Madison makes Kyle watch way more gymnastics than he’d like to admit. From enjoying the world's greatest snow on earth together to navigating home renovations, they're still each other’s favorite person and they can’t wait to celebrate their greatest adventure yet with you!

Cancun International Airport
The airport is about 45 minutes from the resort. Transportation is included in your reservations in our group block. Our planning team will be reaching out to all guests closer to departure to collect flight itineraries and coordinate with the transportation company. Travel Tip: Brace yourself for the customs line—it might feel longer than your actual flight, but just remember, you’re one step closer to vacation! Once you’re through, keep walking past the timeshare sellers until you’re outside to meet your pre-arranged transportation. And don’t worry—when you get back to the U.S., you’ll get through customs before you even get your bags, so no repeat of the chaos!

Do I need a Passport?

Yes, you will need a passport to travel to Mexico. Please plan accordingly as obtaining a passport takes time. Be sure that your passport is valid at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

Currently, there are no COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for entry into Mexico, but we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Yes! Secrets Playa Blanca is an all-inclusive resort. This means unlimited dining, drinks (including top-shelf options), room service, and some activities are covered. So, all you need to do is show up and enjoy!

We love your children, but due to the resort being adults only, they cannot accommodate guests under 18 years old.

February in Costa Mujeres is warm and pleasant, with daytime temperatures typically ranging from 75–85°F, perfect for beach lounging and outdoor activities. In the evenings, it cools down slightly to around 65–70°F, making it comfortable for sunset dinners and dancing under the stars. A light shawl or jacket is a good idea for the nighttime breeze! Packing tip: Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat! The resort has sunscreen for purchase, but apparently inflation hit them harder than most.

Answer
Some restaurants do have a dress code—typically “resort casual” or “resort elegant.” This usually means no swimsuits or flip-flops at dinner, and some require men to wear pants. Check the "Hyatt Inclusive" app for specifics!

Do I need to make dinner reservations?
Answer
No. Reservations are not required at most of the restaurants, so you can dine whenever you like! The only exception is the Teppanyaki Grill - Himasu, which does require a reservation. Reservations can be done through the "Hyatt Inclusive" app up to 30 days in advance!
