Mack Destination Wedding
We’re so excited to spend a week vacationing to celebrate the start of our marriage, and we can’t wait to have the people who mean the most to us there to share in this special time. We have lots of fun planned for our wedding week. We would love for you to join us for all of the events, but we completely understand if you’re unable to stay for the full week.
The Proposal
Marcello had told me we were meeting Alisa at a steakhouse to celebrate his birthday. Earlier that day, I had asked for the name of the restaurant so I could look it up to check out the pictures and dress code. Since it was a cold night in Houston, I opted for pants and a long-sleeve blouse. When I was ready, Marcello tried to convince me to wear a dress, but I told him I didn’t want to be cold and asked, “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” As we pulled up to the venue, Marcello seemed a little lost. I glanced at the parking lot and surrounding buildings and kept insisting that we were at the wrong steakhouse. To distract me, he called Alisa, assuring me that we were at the right place and that she was just around the corner. As we entered the building, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. I kept telling him, “This is not the right place, babe.” We finally walked down a hall and into a room with a photographer, and I noticed the floral arrangements. That’s when I shouted, “Wait, what are we doing?!?” 😲 Our photographer, Nathalie, asked, “Oh no, is she mad?” I replied, “No, I’m just confused! He told me we were going to a steakhouse!” 😆 I was completely caught off guard (you can tell by the blue nails 🙃). Marcello was finally able to give me the ring he had been keeping safe since July. He explained that he had been planning this since Thanksgiving and hated the feeling of having to lie about where we were actually going. After Marcello popped the question, our photographer took a few pictures, and he did take me for dinner at a steakhouse. We’re excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives. It’s still crazy to believe I’m marrying a stranger I met on the internet. Thanks, Hinge!

We’ll set sail on the exclusive Mack Wedding Catamaran, with lunch served on board and an open bar to enjoy. Take in the stunning views as we head to Isla Mujeres, where you can snorkel in the clear waters, relax on the beach, shop the local boutiques, or rent a golf cart to explore the island. We will sail back at sunset. Please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending this excursion.

We fly out of Bush Intercontinental on flight#1619 (8:02 a.m.) on November 11th and return on flight #1056 (2:44 p.m.) on November 18th. If your budget and schedule allow, we would love to have you join us for the entire week!

What is resort casual attire?
Answer
Many resorts have a “resort casual” dress code, which means collared shirts and dress shoes for men, and summer dresses or dressy separates for women. Guests are not allowed to enter restaurants in swimwear, flip flops, or bare feet. Men are asked to wear shirts with sleeves.

The ceremony will take place outdoors, on a beautiful terrace overlooking the tranquil beach. Surrounded by the serene sounds of the waves and the gentle ocean breeze, we will exchange vows as the sun sets. Be prepared for beautiful views and a romantic atmosphere!

Yes! We’ve arranged group rates at Ocean Riviera Paradise for our guests. There are also other nearby hotels, but we recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your room. Please check our travel page for more information.

Answer
We’ve organized some enjoyable group activities for everyone to participate in throughout the week. On Wednesday, we’ll have a welcome dinner, and the night before the wedding, we’ll have a rehearsal dinner at the resort restaurant. These are relaxed events where we can all get together, mingle, and savor the local cuisine. On Sunday, we’ll have an exciting private catamaran ride to Isla Mujeres. For those traveling internationally, be sure to check passport and visa requirements ahead of time. If you have a passport issued by USA, it's recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months after the trip. Roundtrip transportation from Cancun International Airport is included in the price when you book a room on our booking website. You will need to select transportation during your checkout but price should be adjusted. If you also book your airfare on our booking website, your transportation pick up and return times will automatically be scheduled with the transportation company. If you book your airfare on your own, we will need your flight information so that your transportation pickup and return times can be scheduled. The transportation is only valid at Cancun Airport not Tulum. The Transportation company will need your flight information by October 1, 2025

• To make the most of your trip, take the earliest flight there and the latest flight home. Most transportation companies will have you leaving the resort for your flight home 4 hours before departure time. • Pack your swimsuit in your carry-on bag or travel in your beach/pool attire so that as soon as you arrive at the resort, you can enjoy the beach/pool even before your room is ready for check-in. Rooms are normally ready at 3:00 p.m. • Pack plenty of sunscreen. • (Optional) Bring cash in small bills for tips: $1, $5, $10. • Protect your travel investment by purchasing the travel protection plan.
