We will be officially married in a small, intimate ceremony in Colorado in July. Our casual wedding reception party will take place in Iowa City in October so that we can still celebrate with so many of our favorite humans. Thank you so much for being part of our stories and our lives, both as individuals and as a couple.
It all started when Rachel hit Lynsey with her car. Just kidding. They both swiped right. Lynsey asked Rachel if she wanted to meet her dog. And that's the story.
5:45 pm
Part of where the wedding will take place does not have flat surface (a gravel-ish situation). Choose shoes wisely.
6:30 pm
There will be ducks. Not our ducks. The venue's ducks. But there will be ducks.
Travel Note
Denver Airport is ~80 miles or 90 minute drive to Estes Park Loveland Airport is ~40 miles or 60 minute drive to Estes Park Driving: Google Maps is neat and can help you figure out the duration from your location. This will help you determine how many Taylor Swift albums you can listen to on the drive. Car Rental Options: TURO - this is like AirBNB/VRBO for vehicles. Lynsey and Rachel used this on vacation and would 100% recommend it if you are renting a car. Website: https://turo.com/ RENTALS FROM DENVER AIRPORT - there are dozens of car rental options directly from the airport Website: https://www.flydenver.com/parking-and-transportation/to-and-from/rental-cars/ *Please note that if you rent a car from a local Colorado car rental agency, they will likely require you to reserve an SUV rather than a compact car because of elevation increase in Estes Park (It does not feel like that big of an incline, but your ears will probably pop. Bring gum but don't chew it around Lynsey.)
House Or Rental
Wherever you want! There are a lot of AirBNB and VRBO options, local inns and lodges close to downtown area, and nearby hotels. Because summer is a busy time in Estes Park, we recommend looking into reserving your slumber area sooner rather than later. (If you are a LASC Person just put Katie Dudek in charge of this - joking, but only sort of) FYI: Rachel and Lynsey are staying in a VRBO on Elkhorn Avenue.
Elkhorn Avenue is the main downtown street in Estes Park, and has an awesome main street with shops, restaurants, and things to do.
The Hive at Estes Park Brewery Post Brewing Company (The Post Mountain House) The Slab Outdoor Pub Mountain Berry Bakery
Rocky Mountain National Park is approximately 5 miles from Estes Park. There are dozens of trails and paths you can hike. We do plan to do at least one pre-wedding group hike for those who arrive early.
I don't know - Lynsey doesn't even know what she's going to wear. Please note that part of the wedding venue has uneven ground (gravel) so plan accordingly with your footwear. Thank you for wearing shoes.
No. Rachel clearly doesn't like Lynsey and said the dogs could not attend. It makes sense, but is still heartbreaking.
We do have a registry (sort of)! Please know that your support & presence is enough of a gift for us. If you would like to get a gift for us as a newly married couple, you can contribute to our honeymoon fund!
