For those who want to be closest to the wedding venue, Travelers Rest is the perfect spot. Its quaint downtown contains several great dining options and outdoor experiences. The town manages to retain a rural charm while offering the conveniences of a suburb, so no one has to travel far to get groceries or a cup of coffee.

Staying in Downtown Greenville
Anyone preferring the city over quaint towns, may want to make reservation in Greenville's award-winning downtown, especially those planning on making extending their visit into a mini-vacay. Greenville's downtown is highly-pedestrian and boasts a variety of roof-top bars, excellent restaurants, live entertainment, boutiques, and gorgeous parks.

Swamp Rabbit Trail
Grab a bike at a local vender and ride some of the 28 miles of trails that will take you into downtown Greenville or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll in Travelers Rest. $
Tandem Creperie
Tandem is Lydia's favorite TR brunch spot! Try one of their delicious sweet or savory crepes or simply enjoy a coffee in this charming downtown location.
Restaurant 17
We haven't tried it yet, but boy would we like to! One reviewer says Restaurant 17 has a view that is "absolutely amazing and the service is always exceptional. You seriously cannot go wrong with any of the food choices." Casual attire is fine. $$
Paris Mountain State Park
With trails in a variety of lengths and difficulties, there is something for all hikers here. Named one of South Carolina's top 10 parks. Small fee to enter the park per guest. $
Furman University
Lydia and Cameron shot their engagement photos on Furman University's stunning grounds, which boast a series of stunning gardens: English rose, Japanese, etc. Take a lap around the lake to explore them all and tour them all. FREE!
Falls Park on the Reedy
Cameron proposed to Lydia in this very park! Fall Park boasts one of America's only single-sided suspension bridges, which soars over a waterfall in the middle of amazing downtown Greenville. In April, the park will be carpeted with flowers and the trees will be in bloom. Take a blanket and have a picnic. Read a book on one of the swings. Take advantage of the art gallery in the Grand Bohemian Hotel just behind the park or enjoy lunch at one of the many fabulous restaurants nearby. FREE
