Ben and I connected on a Christian dating app, and met in person for the first time on the 15th of December in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. Ben drove 12 hours through ice and snow to spend the weekend with me. Upon arriving, He made his grand entrance tripping over the threshold and introducing himself in a voice lower than he normally speaks which immediately caused me to question if he had been using a voice changer on our video calls. Despite our awkward introduction, Ben found me waiting for him with Pizza and a freshly made Key lime Pie, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Saturday, July 15th, day of the proposal. Dennis and I share our locations on google maps to track our movements. The "Mission" is underway. Dennis (Humming the mission impossible theme "dun dun dun") leaves for the park ahead of us to stage the ring in a flower pot, and stake out a spot to shoot photos. Minutes later we arrived at the park. As we approach the flower pot Kari notices Dennis stealthily sneaking up behind us to capture the moment. "We're caught!" I think to myself, but Dennis, quick with his response, saves the mission for a moment longer. Now it's time to make my move, I reach in the flowerpot, but don't find the well hidden ring. Noticing the strange look on Kari's face as I'm digging, I say "hey don't these flowers look cool" to which she points out they're actually pretty mediocre. Then.... Finally! I find the ring, I ask the question, She says Yes! Mission accomplished!
