Bride
Luna Rivera is a true conch, born and raised in the vibrant community of Key Largo. Having experienced all stages of life on these beautiful islands, Luna’s journey took a transformative turn when she was saved by grace through Jesus at the age of 13. Her deep love for God and people has continued to grow ever since. In late 2022, following a season of major life changes, Luna began attending Island Community Church, where she found a sense of belonging and purpose. It was there that she met a tall, handsome man named J, who played the keyboard one week and cajón the next. Luna quickly developed a major crush, but it wasn’t until December 29th, 2023, when J finally asked her out—thanks to a little help from Pastor Mike—that their story began to unfold. Fast forward to New Year’s Eve 2024, when, after a dinner with the Wares, J got down on one knee and asked Luna to be his forever. Through joyful tears, Luna said “yes,” and now, you’re here, visiting their wedding website to celebrate the next chapter in their journey together.
Groom
Jayden (goes by Jay, Jayden, J, Jayseph, Hey You, etc.) was born and raised in Illinois. Active in Scouts and his youth group, he was raised with good moral and a great foundation. He lost his birth mother at the age of six to a battle with breast cancer, but he was blessed with a wonderful relationship with his stepmother, who flourished and rooted his relationship with Jesus. He attended Hope College to study Christian History and Theology. While there, he participated in The Pull as both a Puller and a Coach, Nykerk as a Songboy and a Coach, and became a member of the Promethean Fraternity. Over his summers in college, he worked as a Divemaster at Sea Base, a Scout National High Adventure Base. While working at Sea Base, he started attending Island Community Church, where he got super involved, super fast. He has been a member of the worship team at ICC coming up on 4 years now, and that is where he met his bride, Luna. They were on the worship team together, when Pastor Mike planted the seed for him to ask her out. Months went by and he finally did. One thing led to another, and now he will be saying “I do” to his forever person. He wants to thank you for being a part of this special moment. Many thanks and blessings for your support.
Matron of Honor
Jessica is honored to stand beside Luna on her big day as the Matron of Honor. She met the bride during elementary school summer rec, where their friendship began with soda-fueled antics and endless giggles. Some of her favorite memories with the bride include singing and dancing to High School Musical on the bus every day, sleepovers, and countless memories together in youth group. Now married to her high school sweetheart, Jessica is a proud mom to their sweet 9-month-old son, who will be making his debut as the ring bearer. She loves serving in her Church’s youth and children’s ministry, all things theatre, and watching The Office on repeat. She is so thankful for Luna’s long time friendship and to celebrate this next chapter for the soon-to-be Wares!
Best Man
Keaton and Jayden met each other at 11 years old, both joining into Boy Scout Troop 107. They got along quickly and bonded through troop meetings, summer trips and camps, and spent a lot of time with each other outside of Boy Scouts. They spent time out at Ware Lake having airsoft wars and many weekends at each others houses. As they got older, they stayed close throughout college and both moved to Florida where they still see each other when they can!
Maid of Honor
Caridad, better known as Cachy, her Cuban cousin, lives and works in the beautiful Florida keys. While not having any kids of her own, she looks after her mother and uncle (which in hindsight, is like raising kids). Travel enthusiast to the soul. I have known Lunatics since the day I was born. Our families beautifully intertwined by fate. My soul twin.
Groomsman
Devon and J met in the Summer of 2019 while working as Divemaster’s at Florida Sea Base, occasionally working together on the same boat but quickly became good buddies. After the first summer they stuck around and began working the next spring and summer together until Covid happened, postponing some of the summer work and making the two roommates, the bond of Room 5 brought J and Devon closer together. After Devon and J departed Sea Base they still have remained close friends, always finding some time to hangout together. When Luna and J started dating it just opened up more friends to hang out with! “Without J being around a huge Illinois sized whole would be left in my heart”

Mika first met Luna on a Sunday in November of 2023 during her husband Jake’s working interview at Island Community Church. She remembers being so impressed with Luna’s beautiful voice, and not long after, she learned Luna’s personality is just as beautiful! One of Mika’s favorite things about Luna, is her ability to put a smile on anyone’s face at anytime. Beyond the smiles and laughs, Mika has been deeply blessed by Luna’s thoughtful and caring nature. Luna is an example of the exact kind of friend you want in your corner, and Mika feels honored to share in her special day!
