It’s a love story…

Eight years ago, on a normal night at a local dive bar, two young men plopped down on a couple of barstools smack dab next to their soulmate. A few sparks flickered, and a undeniable connection existed. It was too soon. Neither of them were prepared. They each had mistakes to make and lessons to learn that would shape them into the type of partner they respectively deserved. In the following years, sparks flickered here and there, not quite ready to catch flame. In September 2021 the stars aligned and they went on their first date. Ignition. They made things official in December of the same year and began merging their lives, friends, family, pets, and eventually made a house a home together the following summer. Inseparable ever since. Complementary in pretty much every way. They formed a bond and partnership neither ever thought they’d find. All the hard stuff made easier and all the play made that much more fun. Just too happy fellas vacationing whenever possible, going to concerts, or just spending time with their many, many loved ones. In February 2023 they both laid secret plans to propose. On February 18 at their joint birthday party Luke beat Travis to the punch by one hour and pulled out a ring. To everyone’s surprise Travis did too. Quite magical really…. They’re both excited to share their wedding day with you all. Even more, looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together as best friends, soulmates, husbands. Always. Forever. Good things take time.

Things To Do

Abacela Winery

Abacela Winery

12500 Lookingglass Road, Roseburg, OR 97471
, (541) 679-6642

The prettiest winery in Douglas County! Also where Luke/Travis proposed to each other on row #13 if you want to search it out. Wines pretty great as well.

Cooper Ridge Vineyard

Cooper Ridge Vineyard

1389 Old Garden Valley Road, Roseburg, OR 97471
, (541) 671-2373

Another favorite of the grooms, Cooper Ridge has the best patio in the county overlooking the Umpqua Valley.

Wildlife Safari

Wildlife Safari

1790 Safari Road, Winston, OR 97496
, (541) 203-9414

It’s basically a drive-through zoo in Roseburgs backyard. One of the most successful cheetah breeding facilities in the world as well. If that’s your kind of thing then go for it!

FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP as soon as possible but no later than April 1st, 2024 so we can have Old Soul make an appropriate amount of pizza.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our registry is here on Zola. We are asking for financial gifts mainly, but we aren’t opposed to thoughtful or personal gifts as well.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will start at 5:30 PM sharp so come fifteen to thirty minutes early, mingle, grab a drink.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

The venue is a ballroom on the third floor of a nondescript building right downtown Roseburg. We will have signage outside so you will know where to enter. It’s easy to miss. Also, the building does not have an elevator so climbing two flights of stairs is necessary for all guests.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire please. Nothing too fancy, but let’s keep the Douglas County daily wear out of it. The after party is disco themed and we encourage a fun outfit change if possible. No pressure, stay and get down in your finery if it suits you!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our guest list will already have the venue bursting at the seams. No plus ones or guests not included on the invitation unless you clear it with Luke or Travis first.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking downtown Roseburg is plentiful, safe, and free. Just pick up your car Monday by 11 to avoid a small parking ticket.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a driver available after the reception to take you back to where you are lodged. Taxis and Uber is rough and often unavailable in Roseburg so try not to rely on that. Traveling to Douglas County is like transporting yourself back to the 80’s at best. All the small town charm!
