For Luke and I, the mathematical world was a place of bonding, of shared intellectual struggle and joys, and a place that laid the foundation for a wonderful future handcrafted for us by God. We met while we were both tutors at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Fond du Lac Campus in Fall of 2022. While we both sat in the Math Lab waiting for students to come in asking for help, I began asking Luke for help with my Calculus 1 homework. We began discussing both mathematics and life and became friends. The next semester, Spring 2023, I transferred to the Oshkosh Campus, but continued to come to the Math Lab in Fond du Lac one day a week. I would ask for Calculus 2 help and the friendship continued. I was interested, but was not going to get my hopes up that this amazingly wonderful man would want anything more than friendship. I could have gotten my hopes up because during that semester on April 20th, while I worked on homework at a small portable whiteboard, Luke asked me out on a date. And the rest is God-designed history.
