This restaurant is our favorite Thai spot. It's in Pilsen and just recently received a Bib Gourmand! Really reasonably priced. Go in not expecting fast service, as there are only 2 people that work in the whole restaurant, but it is SO worth it.
If you're looking for a fun day activity - come climb at our gym! This is where we were originally set up (thanks Joel & Shelby) and started to form a friendship. It was after a mini, morning workout session (if you know Lex and her workout habits, you know it truly was mini lol) that Mitch asked Lex out for the first time on a drive to work afterwards! As they say, the rest is history!
This is one of our favorite hidden gems in Chicago! BYOB and really small, so great for small parties!
We are praying that it is great weather in Chicago on our wedding weekend and this is a great spot to have a picnic or go play Spikeball with a group if it is! We've done this countless times.
If you are local or come into Chicago early, check out the 5/8 1:20p Cub's game against the Padres! If not, this area is fun to walk around, grab food & drinks, and maybe stop and snag some Jeni's ice cream too! Mitch has lived in Wrigley for our entire relationship and it's been an integral hang spot for us!
An obligatory add to the list. Super cute, free, and we have some sweet memories here all the way back to the beginning of our relationship!
We love this spot to hang with friends and play games at! Great beers (or root beers for Mitch) and great outdoor spot!
A self-serve taproom that is BYOF - this is a great spot that is one of our favorites to play games and hang with friends at! It's in Lincoln Park and close to where Lex lived during most of her time in Chicago. Great for the whole family!
If you're a Jeni's person, it's right around the block, but we recommend Annette's! On a nice night, the lines are truly worth it for some of the better ice cream in the city! We FREQUENT this place often in the Chicago summers and are big ice cream people! It's right off Armitage Avenue, which is the street that Lex lived on for 3 years!
The sooner the better, but please definitely RSVP by March 12, 2024.
There is limited parking reserved for immediate family at the event, but there is plenty of street parking in the area!
We ask that you only bring your kids if they were indicated on the invite you received. However, we have lots of great connections with qualified babysitters - so please reach out if you need one!
Walden will open doors to guests at 3:30 - if you talk to Mitch, he may say to come at 3:59, if you talk to Lex, she'll suggest you come closer to 3:30 ;)
Travel Note
Most of our guests are local or have connections to people who are local, so we decided not to get a hotel block. That being said, if you are looking for a place to stay, we recommend finding an Airbnb and sending it to Mitch or Lex to get the scoop on whether it's just the spot you're looking for!
