When should I RSVP?

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 3:50 and no later than 4:20. The ceremony begins at 4:30, and cars arriving later than 4:20 would be disruptive to our sacred ceremony. Thank you for understanding and arriving on time!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Because we are a sober couple, we chose to limit alcohol on our special day. We will have red wine available, or Hemp infused seltzers. Check RSVP for details. To avoid trouble with our venue we ask that you do not bring in outside alcohol, or we will sacrifice you to the elder gods.

Hemp infused drinks?

Answer

These are farm bill compliant soft drinks, infused with legal THC-A. Please be aware that these do in fact work and do everything you think they should. The brand is Crecent made in Louisiana. We will have 5mg cans available to those who request on RSVP. You will either get red wine or THC-A drinks, not both.

Is the wedding child friendly?

We are reserving space for children of family members and ask all non-family members with children refrain from bringing theirs. To family members with children under 5- we ask that you please consider a sitter. Thank you for understanding.

Are plus ones permitted?

Your invitation should indicate if a plus one is permitted. We want our wedding to be more intimate but also ensure no one feels left out.

Is there a seating chart?

Answer

To ensure everyone sits with their loved ones, we are creating a simple seating chart that will be displayed at the reception. There will also be reserved seating for immediate family members for the ceremony.

When should we expect food to be served?

Answer

After the ceremony, appetizers will be served while we have our wedding photos taken. Once we return to the reception, we will have our first dance, dance with our parents, and then dinner will follow. We expect appetizers to be available by 5:00

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever is comfortable, semi-formal, and expresses fall, Halloween, or "spooky" for you. We are asking all of those who are choosing to wear a dress to not wear a solid black dress since the bride will be in all black. Thank you for being considerate!

Are costumes required?

Answer

Costumes are not a requirement! We want you all to be comfortable, and we encourage you to lean into the spirit of Halloween, however that suits you best. We do ask that you do not wear Halloween masks.

What footwear is recommended?

Answer

We highly discourage heels and dress shoes without tread, there are inclines and loose soil. This is an outdoor venue dress accordingly.

What if my mobility is limited?

Answer

The parking lot is downhill, closely located to the reception area. Bathrooms are large and located a short walk from the reception area, which is mostly flat, with a short step up to the bathroom platform. The reception area is flat, with finely crushed gravel suitable for a walker, cane, scooter, etc. The ceremony site is located down a somewhat steep hill from the opposite side of the reception area. The ceremony will be held in the woods, in a cleared area. Rides will be available for anyone unable to go downhill or use the stairs to go downhill. From the drop off point at the bottom of the hill, there is a flat path you will walk to reach the ceremony site. The path is very short. We want everyone who can attend to attend the ceremony. Should you feel you won't be able to, please reach out to us so we can accommodate you in any way we can. Extra reserved seating is available for those who won't be able to stand during the ceremony. Please let us know if you will need seating. We assume the ceremony will last no more than 30 minutes.

No gift registry?

Answer

We have chosen to opt out of a traditional gift registry to encourage cash gifts to fulfill our honeymoon dreams! We will have envelopes available at the reception on our love letter station and a Venmo account, which we will link soon.
