Our Story

As many of you know Luke is a proud life long Franklin resident. He ended up going to Medway Middle School for 6th grade in 1997, for what we’ll call, an alternative learning experience. As fate would have it. Lisa and her family moved to Medway in 1997 from Roslindale, just before 6th grade as well. They were always friendly. More so in high school when they had more classes together. A favorite they both remember, ceramics. Where many projects started out as vases and turned into ashtrays or deformed coffee mugs. They both enjoyed this class and looked forward to sitting at the same table and hanging out as friends. Luke has always been a social person, friendly and outgoing. Really easy to talk to. They can’t go many places without bumping into someone that knows Luke. Lisa is a self proclaimed social cripple and often struggles to find the right words to say. Anonymous really, even living in Medway now. She likes it that way. Looking back, Lisa remembers Luke was always nice, easy to talk to and easy on the eyes. Probably too nice for her, unfortunately for him, at the time. Luke has said he always had a crush on Lisa all those years but played it cool. Luke ended up leaving Medway, Junior year, to head back to Franklin schools but not before Lisa asked him to go to the Junior prom. They had a great time but just as friends and so they went on their separate ways, as life would have it. Fast forward to March 2019, Lisa was out for a night to unwind with Lindsey and some other girlfriends in Franklin. You guessed it, Luke walks in. They locked eyes from across The Pub. Lisa gave him a wave and a familiar smile. Luke B-lined it straight to her. She asked if he would sit and have a drink. Luke accepted (of course 😉) and so their love story began. Luke frequently has said that he wished they started their relationship sooner, even pre-kids. Lisa’s response “I think we both had to experience life without each other to actually appreciate what we have to offer.” It also takes a special individual to not only love their partner but to love the children that she brings from a prior relationship. Not everyone is capable of taking on that responsibility. Taking a very important seat at a table, that was previously set for someone else. Many don’t have a big enough heart but Luke does. He proves that each and every day. And here they are, two people who at one time had their lowest of lows, sometimes wondering if tomorrow would come. Coming full circle to finding love in each other. A love they both intend to cherish from now until forever. “You touch me and suddenly I feel a little less war torn. I’m not sure what peace is supposed to feel like but I think it may feel a lot like you.” -Anatomy of rains
