✨ It all started at Friendsgiving… Lindsey wasn’t planning to come back to the party, and Dave almost skipped it entirely—but the universe had other plans (as it does). The moment Lindsey walked in, Dave spotted her. She, on the other hand, didn’t notice him—she was too busy saying hello and making a beeline for the kitchen. Hanger had fully kicked in, and she was laser-focused on food. 😏 A kitchen moment Dave, in classic smooth fashion, strategically stationed himself in the kitchen and casually asked, “Hey, you look like you’re searching for something—need a hand?” Lindsey, mid-snack mission, turned and replied, “Yeah, food. Is there something you need?” And just like that—that playful exchange hooked Dave instantly. 💬 “Challenge accepted” They bonded over their shared love of medicine and some good old-fashioned Army vs. Marine banter. Lindsey wasn’t dating (and friend-zoned Dave immediately), but he took it in stride. This part is up for debate—whether Dave subconsciously, or maybe even consciously, thought: Challenge accepted. Quietly persistent, he remembered the little things, sent encouraging messages, and stayed in her corner. 🍹 One drink, no dinner (just in case) Eventually (months later), Lindsey agreed to “just one drink—no dinner, in case it got weird.” Spoiler: it did not get weird. One drink turned into two, live music, dancing, and the start of something real. 💍 The rest is history Since then, their pups have become best friends, Lindsey convinced Dave to move to the west side, they’ve survived house projects, and celebrated life’s wins (and challenges) side by side. Dave’s thoughtful proposal—surrounded by family and friends—was the cherry on top. From that first unexpected spark at Friendsgiving three years ago to a life filled with love, laughter, two amazing pups, and deep connection, we are so grateful for every moment along the way.
