There are tons of places to eat (including the famous "Union Woodshop"). One of our favorite brunch places is "2 South Brunch House". There are a few boutique type of stores as well. It is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel, very walkable downtown area.

Question
Will there be a shuttle bus from the venue to the hotel?
Answer
Unfortunately, there will not be a shuttle provided between the venue and hotel. Please plan accordingly and do not drink and drive. If you find yourself unable to drive do not hesitate to let Lindsay, Denny or their parents know so we can coordinate a ride for you.

Will there be any events between the ceremony and reception?
Answer
Ceremony will end between 2-2:30pm and our reception starts at 6pm at Pine Knob in Clarkston. Please feel free to go back to your hotel room, go back to your own house or get a group together and find something fun to do during this downtime! A list of things to do and restaurants in the area of the venue are listed on this website! There will be a short cocktail hour with an open bar (yay!) but no hors d'oeuvres will be served. Please have a snack or meal if needed before attending the reception. Dinner will be served around 7pm.

Are children allowed?

Children are more than welcome to come to the ceremony, however the reception will be adults only unless indicated otherwise on your invitation. We will make exceptions for extenuating circumstances, please reach out to Lindsay or Denny before the RSVP period ends if you fall in this category.

How should I Dress?
Answer
Please adhere to a black-tie dress code for the ceremony and reception. If heels bother you we will have a limited number of sandals to put on for later in the night, but bring your own too if you would like! Wearing heels isn't an excuse to not dance!! The ceremony and reception are completely indoors! There is an accessible outdoor space at the venue as well. November in Michigan is unpredictable, but it will probably be cold so bring a coat with you. We sometimes get snow in November as well, so packing a pair of short snow or rain boots to use outside of wedding activities may be advisable. Please check the weather before packing!
