Our Story; TLDR

2015 --> 2022

We first met playing volleyball in 2015! Linda went off to Maine to get her doctorate, while Davis stayed in Salt Lake climbing the corporate ladder. We reconnected in 2022 back in Utah and became fast friends. Then sparks flew on the sands of Manhattan Beach in California and we've been in love since our first Mai Tai together!

Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Linda Shober and Davis Matson
Our vision was to create a weekend that would be a celebration of us but also an opportunity for all invited to plan their own adventure. The Resort is near Bryce Canyon, Zion, Coral Reef Sand Dunes and many other iconic destinations. We will post some scheduled options for outings through the weekend, but would like everyone to think of this as their own special getaway with the Saturday ceremony and reception being the only set obligation. The Resort also offers many guided experiences including cold water plunging, hiking, rock climbing, horse riding, fly-fishing, and a Via Ferrata. Or just soak up the sun pool-side ;)

FAQs

Question

We will be providing food and drink Saturday during the reception and brunch Sunday. Otherwise, there is a grocery store in town. Some options for eating out, coffee etc. The resort is BYOB, you are free to bring any alcohol or food you'd like. Please drink responsibly.

When is the ceremony?

Answer

Saturday, November 8th. They recommended to NOT plan any big trips into Zion or Bryce the day of the ceremony, as people have had trouble arriving on time for the ceremony with traffic etc.

Answer

"Cocktail Attire with Desert Flair" Be inspired by early desert blooms and golden hour against the beautiful Zion sandstone backdrop. Please dress up! :) Wear something that makes you feel your best!
