Familia y amigos, ¡Esperamos que se encuentren bien! Ya ha pasado un año desde que aplazamos la boda originalmente. Desde entonces, hemos reprogramado la fecha dos veces y cambiado el lugar una vez. Desafortunadamente, ha sido una larga espera y no queremos que COVID continúe siendo un obstáculo para que finalmente nos casemos. En estos tiempos de incertidumbre, no podemos asegurar que posponiendo nuevamente el evento podamos tener la boda que habíamos planeado. Queremos asegurarnos de tomar las precauciones necesarias para evitar la propagación del virus. Por lo tanto, con mucha tristeza nos vemos obligados a cancelar el evento y llevar a cabo una pequeña ceremonia. Esta ha sido una decisión muy difícil para nosotros, pero nos tomamos esta pandemia muy en serio y no podríamos vivir si algo le sucediera a alguno de ustedes o sus seres queridos. Family and friends, We hope that you are doing well! It has been already a year since we pushed back the wedding originally. Since then, we have already rescheduled the date twice and changed the venue once. Unfortunately, It’s been a long wait and we don’t want COVID to continue to be in the way of us finally getting married. During these uncertain times, we cannot ensure that by postponing the event again we will be able to have the wedding that we had originally planned. We want to make sure that we take the necessary precautions to avoid the spread of the virus. Therefore, with a heavy heart we are forced to cancel the event and have a small ceremony. Please know that this has been a though decision fo us, but we take this pandemic very seriously and we couldn’t live with ourselves if something were to happened to any of you or your loved ones. Los dos estábamos en la fiesta de despedida de un amigo después de un largo día de trabajo. Había tacos para cenar, pero llegamos justo antes de que terminaran de servir, así que fuimos los últimos en comer en la mesa. Estábamos sentados uno frente al otro cuando, después de una conversación informal con nuestros amigos en común, nos dimos cuenta de que ambos trabajamos para la misma compañía! Diferentes edificios y todo, pero aún así! Qué mundo tan pequeño, verdad? En fin, terminamos hablando toda la noche, y 5 años, 3 meses y 14 días después nos comprometimos! Sabemos lo que estás pensando ... por supuesto, que no hemos estado saliendo desde ese día, pero podemos contarte todos los detalles detrás de nuestro viaje en nuestra boda. Nos encantaría verte ahí! ... We both were at a friend’s farewell party after a long day at work. There were tacos for dinner, but we arrived right before they finished serving, so we were the last ones eating at the table. We happened to be seated in front of each other when, after a casual conversation with our friends in common, we realized that we both worked for the same company! Different buildings and everything, but still! What a small world, right? Anyways, we ended up talking all night, and 5 years, 3 months, and 14 days later we got engaged!
