To preserve the intimacy of the moment and avoid disruptions, late arrivals will be asked to wait outside the ceremony space until it concludes. Shuttle Information

The shuttle does not run continuously. Holiday Inn Shuttle: The shuttle holds 11 people. The first shuttle from the Holiday Inn to the Venue will leave at 3:30pm. The shuttle will drop guests off at the Venue, and return for the second pick-up at around 3:50pm. The return shuttles will leave the Venue and depart for the Holiday Inn at 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm. Comfort Inn Shuttle: The shuttle holds 11 people. The first shuttle from the Comfort Inn to the Venue will leave at 3:30pm. The shuttle will drop guests off at the Venue, and return for the second pick-up at around 3:50pm. The early return shuttle will leave the Venue and depart for the Comfort Inn at 9pm. The late return shuttle will leave the Venue at 11pm. When checking in to your hotel, please reconfirm the shuttle times. If you are late for the 3:30pm shuttle to the venue, there may not be enough seats on the 3:50pm shuttle.

Ridehsare services such as Uber and Lyft are available in the area if you prefer not to drive! If you drive to the venue but need to rideshare home, you are able to leave your vehicle in the Crystal Creek Venue parking lot until noon on Sunday the 12th.

The wedding venue is 8 minutes from The Holiday Inn, and 10 minutes from the Comfort Inn.

American Taxi
We have used American Taxi to travel from O'Hare to the suburbs. By downloading the American Taxi app and inputting your flight/ terminal information, they will provide text message updates as you disembark from your flight to Chicago. Typically you need to text them from baggage claim and they will be at the designated pick up location within about 10 minutes. They are very punctual, reliable, and safe drivers. Average cost from O'Hare to Cary/ Crystal Lake is around $50 before tip.

Comfort Inn Crystal Lake - Algonquin
The rate at Comfort Inn is $105 per night under the Light/Wienckowski Wedding block. The block is available for Friday and Saturday night and could be booked for just one night. The release date for the block is September 19. If someone wants to book beyond the 19th it would be based on availability and might also go for the regular rate.

O'Hare is 42 minutes away from Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake and 45 minutes away from the Comfort Inn in Crystal Lake. O'Hare Airport has a variety of rental car services located on site.

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by August 20th, 2025 so we can give a final count to our venue and caterer.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on the invitation. (i.e. Mr. Jones and Guest) We appreciate your understanding!

Will the wedding be inside or outside?
Answer
The ceremony will be held outside, weather permitting. The cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will be held inside. There will also be open access to the outdoor patio, deck, and grounds throughout the night.

What is the weather typically like?
Answer
The temperature could be between 45° and 70°. Daytimes may be in the mid 60s°, while evenings could be around the 40s°. Illinois is never very predictable, but we are hoping for sunshine and great weather! We suggest bringing a shawl, cardigan, or jacket just in case.

Will I need to travel between the ceremony space and reception venue?
Answer
Nope! The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will all take place at Crystal Creek Farm Venue.

How accessible is the wedding venue?
Answer
The venue is split into a main reception hall, and a downstairs cocktail area. There is a staircase inside, to get from one floor to another, but unfortunately no elevator. Both the reception hall and cocktail area are accessible from outside without the use of stairs. There is a small ramp outside that will take you from the cocktail area to the reception hall.

Is parking available on-site?
Answer
Yes, there is ample space for all guests. If you drive to the venue but need to Uber home, you can leave your car at the venue until 12:00pm on Sunday the 12th.
