Our wedding will be held at the Barker House in Scituate, MA. The Barker House was built in 1634 by John Williams Barker, overlooking the Scituate Harbor, it served as a principal garrison home during King Phillip's War in 1676. We are so happy to share such a beautiful piece of history in our new home state of Massachusetts with you all. We encourage all of our guests, if able, to stay in the town of Scituate with us at either the Scituate Inn or local Air BNB's. Space is limited in town, so we have also blocked rooms nearby in Rockland and will arrange for transportation to and from our wedding. We appreciate everyone traveling to our home in Massachusetts and cannot wait to share our special day with each and everyone of you.

Located just minutes from The Barker House, Scituate Inn is another accommodation option for all. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a room block at the Scituate Inn because rooms are limited. There is a required two-night minimum to book, so please ensure you have selected two nights to view available rooms. A shuttle will be provided at the conclusion of the evening back to the Inn.

We have blocked rooms at the Double Tree by Hilton in Rockland. Rockland is about 30 minutes away from our venue in Scituate, but does not require a two night minimum. You can make your reservation online with the above link or call the front desk by dialing 0 after calling (781) 871-0545 and providing the discount code above. Check in will be at 3 pm, our ceremony starts at 5pm. We have booked transportation to the venue , which will depart from the hotel at 4pm. Our room block closes 9/2/26.

Cocktail attire, men please wear a jacket. Our wedding is a colorful celebration, we encourage all of our guests to incorporate their favorite fall colors.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are onsite at the Barker House. There is parking on site and cars can be left overnight if needed, but will need to be collected by 10 AM on Sunday.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes, please contact us separately with any allergy or dietary restrictions.

Is there transportation to and from the my accommodation to the ceremony? If not, how should I get back safely?

Answer

For those staying at the Double Tree Hilton in Rockland there will be provided transportation to and from the venue. For those staying at the Scituate Inn, the same bus will make a dropoff on its way out of town. If you miss the bus, the Scituate Inn is approximately a 10 minute walk from the wedding venue. There will not be transportation provided to the venue from the Scituate Inn. If you choose to stay at a local AirBNB/VRBO location we will not be able to provide transportation. You can book uber/taxi, but because Scituate is about 45 minutes from the city we highly recommend scheduling your ride ahead of time to guarantee timely pick up.
