Liberty was 12 years old when she first saw Asa across a field at a Boy Scout campout and was immediately attracted. She made the mistake of confiding to her friend, Audrey, that she had a crush on a guy at camp, and discovered to her horror that the girl she had just confided this secret to was her crush's sister! A year later, Asa and Audrey's family joined the homeschool Doorposts Co-op that Liberty's family belonged to, and Asa saw Liberty for the first time. They were 13 and 15, and their hearts melded at first meeting. They became best friends instantly and remained so throughout their turbulent teenage years. Liberty and her sister Mercy and Asa's sister Audrey enjoyed playing pranks on Asa's troop during scout campouts, zeroing in on Asa's tent and his brothers' tents most often. Fake spiders and Frank the Prank Rat were accomplices to their many schemes. Asa was Liberty's rock during her heart surgery and subsequent two month hospital stay when she was 15. Liberty was Asa's rock during his figuring out teen-hood turmoil. When Asa turned 18, he was encouraged by Liberty's father to part ways with Liberty and to date other girls closer to his own age. Jeremy told him that if Asa found someone better than Liberty, feel free to marry the other person, but if by the time Liberty turned 18 Asa had not found someone that had made him want to forget her, then to come back and see how things progress from there. Asa followed Jeremy's advice and returned as soon as Liberty turned 18 to try again with her, but Liberty was looking for someone whose whole heart had been surrendered completely to God. Asa had not decided yet what he wanted to do about God, so they parted ways again. Every three months or so, Asa would circle back to Liberty to see how things stood. Finally, Asa realized he was going in circles in his walk with Liberty and spinning his wheels in his life in general. He called out to God for direction and asked his dad for advice as well. His dad, Dave, gave him some great advice regarding both life and Liberty (and the pursuit of happiness), and Asa followed it. Asa requested a meeting with Liberty's parents and Liberty. It was during that meeting that Asa finally understood who God was and His trustworthiness as it applied to Asa's life, and Asa chose to fully surrender his life to Christ. He was very evidently filled with the Holy Spirit, and Liberty and her parents whole-heartedly agreed to the two of them beginning a dating relationship in full standing with God! What joy! This prayer request from both sets of parents and from Liberty and Asa themselves had finally been fulfilled! With overflowing hearts of gratitude to God for what He has done, Asa and Liberty and both sets of parents are thrilled to invite all of you to join with us in celebrating the two lives He has joined together into one for His Glory!!!!

Best Man
Ben and Asa have been friends since they met ten years ago during their regional Bible Quizzing days. Their hobbies include wandering around under bridges looking for homeless guys.
Maid of Honor
Mercy and Liberty have been best friends practically since birth. They're only 22 months apart, after all. As sister of the bride, Mercy takes her duties seriously. Well, as seriously as she takes anything in life, which is to say - she takes them humorously! Her job during the wedding day will be to aide and abet her sister's shenanigans, and pray that poor Asa won't back out of the wedding at the last minute.
Groomsman
Asa's older brother Addison has always been a much worse shot than Asa during their Airsoft shooting matches in the field near their parents' house. Which is a good thing because Asa needs to remain welt-free for his wedding photos. Thank you for your help with this matter, Addison.
Bridesmaid
Audrey has been Liberty's biggest cheerleader in all the brother-pranking schemes Liberty has come up with over the years, and Audrey has come up with several herself. Her claim to fame is that when this love story was just a hidden gleam in 14-year-old Liberty's eye, Audrey christened a toy ship "The Libsa" to represent the hope for Liberty and Asa's future romantic relationSHIP, and that nickname has become the hashtag for this wedding website.
Groomsman
This lil' buddy is Asa's younger brother. He only wears snoop dog sweat pants, and refuses to put on real pants for work, much like his older brother used to do. He has a ridiculous haircut. He may be taller than Asa, but comes nowhere near weighing as much.
Bridesmaid
Liberty met Lydia during homeschool choir eight years ago. Lydia quickly became like another sister in the Sherron family, and when they were little kids Liberty, Mercy, and Lydia made a pact that they would be bridesmaids in each others' weddings. Lydia will be the one forcing the rest of the wedding party to behave, and it will be due to her admonishments that this wedding will be run correctly. Thank God for Lydia!
Groomsman
Abraham has been tortured as Liberty's cousin for many years. He and Asa share a love of cool cars; although Abe's car love may be arguably stronger. You should ask Abraham if he knows where both of his socks are. He sometimes struggles to find them. That is never Liberty's fault.
Bridesmaid and Ringbearer
VeeVee is short. Let's start with that. She is the shortest person in the entire wedding party. (Pointed out by Asa.) Liberty enjoys having VeeVee as a fiercely strong teammate in their living room wrestling matches against Asa. VeeVee wants it noted that Asa frequently marvels at how strong she is when she is beating him at wrestling.
Because he thinks they make him look cool. Unfortunately, nothing can help him with that.
Please RSVP by April 15, 2026. A most recognizable date.
Dolphins!!! Lydia does an excellent dolphin impersonation, too. You should ask her for a demonstration at the wedding.
Because she always has to keep one eye on Asa to be sure he isn't sneaking up on her.
Anytime between 6:30 and 7:00 pm
The colorful sunsets! Plus the cold weather makes you want to cuddle.
Yes! The wedding will be held in sight of a playground, so the kids will be delighted to attend.
