Libby and Riley’s story dates all the way back to 2010, when in the second grade, Libby transferred to Riverside Christian Academy. Libby and Riley were best friends throughout elementary school and have remained so ever since. Some of their most fond memories of this time are Libby stealing Riley’s crutches on the playground, and Riley teasing Libby for zipping her jacket all the way up during the summer. In the sixth grade, the couple’s friendship blossomed into something more and they have been inseparable ever since. That same year the couple decided to make things “official” and become ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’. Libby and Riley quite literally grew up together. In May of 2020 the couple graduated from RCA and were ready to take on the world! After their time at RCA the couple attended Faulkner University together. They spent four unforgettable years in Montgomery, building their story while creating lifelong memories and friendships. Today, Riley is back at RCA as the Athletic Director, teaching middle school history and coaching football. Libby is in Nashville at Belmont University pursuing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, with plans to practice in Lincoln County upon graduation. Though this season of life is exciting and full of new opportunities, it is also the first time the couple has been apart for an extended period of time. It has challenged them to deepen their love, strengthen their trust, and lean on their faith more than ever before. This time apart has helped them grow individually and as a couple, only making their bond stronger. Libby and Riley are so thankful for the lifelong friendship that has brought them to this point. They cannot wait to keep growing together in love for the rest of their lives.
