Travel Note
There is a plethora of hotels and B&B's in Ostuni and the surrounding area, here are just some other options for you to consider: Hotel Monte Sarago - www.hotelmontesarago.it Hotel La Terra - www.laterrahotel.it Hotel Sant'Eligio - www.santeligiorelais.it
Flight
Please fly into one of these major airports: Rome, Naples or Milan. From there, you’ll need to connect into the Puglia airports: Bari or Brindisi. We suggest renting a car to get from Bari/ Brindisi to Ostuni. There are no Uber or Cabs in Puglia, renting a car will be the most convenient option. Pro tip: book an automatic transmission (unless you’re experienced in manual).
Travel Note
Puglia is one of Italy’s most spectacular regions forming the heel of the country’s “boot”. Known for its beautiful Adriatic + Ionian Sea coastlines, unique southern charm, and ridiculously good food, Puglia is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. Masseria Grieco is a white-washed masseria (a traditional Pugliese farmhouse), which dates back to the 1600s, is an oasis set amongst ancient olive groves. To make the most of your trip to Italy, we strongly encourage you to explore other parts of the country before and/or after our wedding (like Rome, Florence, or the Amalfi Coast, for example). Need inspiration? Just spin through a couple of episodes of Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.
Travel Note
Puglia is a region with so much to offer. We highly recommend exploring this beautiful area during your travels. There are endless amounts of travel blogs and articles highlighting Puglia, but below is a list of sights worth visiting within a one-hour drive from Masseria Grieco. Polignano a Mare is a must visit! Polignano a Mare & Monopoli Description: Located between Bari and Brindisi, these two towns are a must visit and a main attraction for tourists that enjoy the seaside, as well as, historical and cultural excursions. Polignano a Mare is a gem of a seaside town, with the Lama Monachile Bay being one of the main attractions. Monopoli is a charming seaside village known for its Baroque cathedral. Largely carved out of and built with tuff, the town has an incredible history and a deep sense of spirituality, purity and authenticity. Matera is the world's third-longest continuously inhabited human settlement. Natural caves in the tufa limestone, exposed as the Gravina cut its gorge, attracted the first inhabitants perhaps 7000 years ago. Fun fact - No Time to Die and Wonder Woman were both filmed here. Perfect spot to visit for a few hours, during your travels in Puglia. Recommended guide: Along Dusty Roads - Alberobello https://www.alongdustyroads.com/posts/alberobello-puglia-italy-guide
