In order to meet guest number restrictions, we have decided to make our special day adults only. We hope that the advance notice means you are still able to celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those who have been formally invited. If you have received a plus one, they will appear in your party booking under your name when you RVSP.

What time should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive at the pub between 4-4:15pm.

What should I wear?

We warmly invite our guests to dress in formal or party attire, perfect for a summer evening wedding celebration, e.g. linen trousers for men and summer dresses for women.

Please ensure you include any dietary requirements or food allergies that you would like the kitchen to be aware of when you RVSP.

Are there hotels nearby?

Answer

Most nearby hotels are a 15/20-minute drive from the venue. Please refer to the Hotels tab for our recommendations on nearby hotels. There are also several Air Bnb's in the local area. Please note that our special day falls over Royal Ascot, so accommodation options are already limited. If you require accommodation, we strongly encourage you to book this as soon as possible. Do I need to pre-book transport?

As our wedding date falls over Royal Ascot, we would strongly recommend pre-booking your taxis to and from the pub to avoid any delays on the day. The Shurlock Inn have fixed fares with the local firm Sonning Cars. Just call 07367 345 475 and ask for their agreed rates.

Can I travel by public transport?

Answer

The pub is located a 7-minute drive from Twyford station, or a 14-minute drive from Maidenhead station. Both stations are on the Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, Wokingham station is a 13-minute drive for those travelling on South Western Railway. If you are travelling by train, you will need to get a taxi to and from the station to reach the pub.

Yes, there is a sizeable car park available, as well as parking on the road outside and surrounding roads.
