We met quite a few times before we spoke personally. He later showed me a video he had of me singing at Maggie Meyer's. If he wasn't his own marketing guy, I would be creeped out. Stephen ran karaoke all over the city, and I love to sing. Specifically, I loved to sing Fergalicious and Fergalicious ONLY. He always remembered what song I wanted to sing and my name, usually writing me down on the list before I approached him. He later ran karaoke for a birthday party that our mutual friend, John "Boss", threw for me. He did it for free and let me sing all night long. Literally. I am not exaggerating. Back to back. Sometimes, I even sang the same song at least five times so I could "get it right". We didn't hang out again for another year. This time, our friend group was on a "bender" and Stephen joined. Towards the end of it, we expressed our feelings for each other and haven't been apart since. I am intentionally leaving out the part about how his house was incredibly haunted and that damn sugar cookie suit. IYKYK. We lived together three months later and were engaged six months later. Short answer, yes. There is no liquor allowed on the premises. We will have beer and wine.
As we plan to party, it is important to us that our guests understand that the venue is in the middle of nowhere in Gurley, AL. This means that if you want to party hard, we would suggest an Uber/Lyft/carpool with a DD situation. Please make these arrangements prior to the wedding.
There will be a golf cart transporting from the parking lot to the front doors from 3-4 pm on the day of the wedding.
Wings! We will have sides as options for those of you that do not eat meat such as vegetable egg rolls and a salad bar. There will be desserts and late night snacks as well.
Nope. We’re doing family style dining. Get where you fit.
4:00 PM. The ceremony starts at 4:30, but the doors will shut and lock at 4:20.
