We first met through family friends — our younger brothers started playing hockey together when they were 4 years old. As kids, we crossed paths often, but life took us in different directions. About 12 years later, we reconnected — fittingly — in the same arena where it all began. What started as a familiar face quickly turned into something special. The Proposal happened on a quiet Friday night, just the two of us on the boat in our favorite place, Lac-Simon. The sun was setting over the water, country music played softly in the background, and the moment couldn’t have been more perfect. Surrounded by nature and love, he asked me to spend forever with him — and of course, I said yes.
