Morning Hike

9:00 am - 11:00 am

Shaupeneak Ridge Trail

Weather and workout appropriate attire.

We made you all come to upstate NY, so you might as well enjoy what it has to offer! We'll be going on a hike Saturday morning and want to invite anyone interested to join. Feel free to RSVP but we won't hold anyone to it. Here's the link to the hike: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/shaupeneak-ridge-trail Here's a link to a shorter version of the hike. (Same start but shortcut to end early): https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/hudson-river-overlook-via-red-trail-loop

Brewery Hang!

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Casual evening out attire

One day with our guests isn't enough! So, we'll be doing a casual hang at a brewery/ restaurant the night before. If you're in town, we hope you'll stop by and say hi. Once a location is confirmed we will let everyone know.

Sunday, June 22, 2025

Wedding Ceremony

11:00 am - 11:45 am

For adults the attire is slightly above casual. Nice jeans and a nice shirt is acceptable attire. Just about anything is good to go except maybe sweatpants. CHILDREN TWO AND UNDER MUST BE IN FORMAL WEAR! For example: https://bit.ly/40Keo5o

Our ceremony will start promptly at 11:00am. The ceremony will take place outdoors on a lawn. Please wear appropriate footwear.

Wedding Reception (Pizza Party!)

12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

For adults the attire is slightly above casual. For children under two they must be in formal wear… and probably bibs while eating pizza

There will be food, an open bar, and music. Probably no dancing so you can leave your dancing shoes at home. But we do recommend steady footwear for the outdoor patio. Our private event at Ollie's is from 12:00 PM -3:00 PM, but guests are welcome to stay at the restaurant and continue to hang out as regular patrons until 4:30 PM, at which point our party will be asked to leave.

After Party

7:30 pm - 11:45 pm

Bacchus Restaurant, Brewery & Billiards
4 S Chestnut St, New Paltz, NY 12561

Our goal is to arrive here at 7:30pm for dinner and drinks. Please note the kitchen closes at 9:00pm

Travel

The Wedding Website of Leah Tepperman and EllaRose Chary
Getting There (NYCers): The best way to get to and around High Falls, NY is via car. Let us know if you are having trouble accessing a car and we'll help find you a carpool situation. Leah loves a spreadsheet. Getting There (Out of Towners): The closest airport is Albany NY. If Albany isn't possible we recommend looking at flights into Newark, NJ before the NYC airports. If you have any questions please reach out! Lodging: We recommend folks book their lodging ASAP! Places to stay in that area get booked fast for the summer. In order for people to experience everything upstate New York has to offer we encourage people to book AirBnBs, VRBOs, etc. There also are many cute regular Bed & Breakfasts, Inns, etc. in that area. Transportation: The best way to get around is a car, ride share is pretty sparse and you have to book local cab companies in advance.

House Or Rental

Hampton Inn by Hilton New Paltz

4 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY 12561

If AirBnBs aren't your thing the Hampton Inn is the closest hotel to the venue, and we'll be having events nearby.

Registry

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding and love with all of you, and are so happy you can make the trip upstate. We (gratefully) have already built a beautiful life together with PB & Louie...all four of us in a New York City apartment. So, we don't have a big registry and your best gift is your company. That said, if you're feeling particularly generous, thank you, and we have put together a small registry. We're not the typical “newlyweds," so we’re putting our own spin on some of the more traditional registry items.

Things To Do

Upstate New York is beautiful and known for things like hiking, breweries / wineries, and enjoying nature. We're sharing some things we've enjoyed doing in the area.

Darlings

838 New York 32, Tillson, NY 12486

This is a cool space with delicious food and fun cocktails about 10 minutes from our wedding venue.

Rosendale Trestle

Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, Rosendale, NY 12472

This 22-mile span of the Empire State Trail (which will eventually connect NYC to Montreal via bike path) goes from New Paltz to Kingston. It is a great walking and biking trail (rails to trails) for all levels and you can jump on at many points along the way and do a shorter or longer walk. The Rosendale Trestle is a highlight and is a short distance from Ollie's.

Chleo

288 Fair Street, Kingston, NY 12401

This upscale wine bar and restaurant in Kingston comes highly recommended - it's owned and run by our wedding officiant (Anne)'s sister!

D&H Canal Historical Society

1315 New York 213, High Falls, NY 12440

Yes, this is where we're getting married. But, there won't be that much time at the event to check out the actual museum. We think it's worth popping in to check out the actual museum.

Hiking in the Area

There's plenty of hiking in this area! Leah recommends using this website to find trails.

Things to Do in New Paltz

New Paltz is home to SUNY New Paltz and has the kind of vibe you'd expect from a hippie, upstate, college town.

Brotherhood, America's Oldest Winery

100 Brotherhood Plaza Drive, Washingtonville, NY 10992

America's oldest winery! On the way between NYC and High Falls (about an hour drive from High Falls). We enjoy it and they have a canned sangria that's fun!

Mudd Puddle Coffee Roasters

10 Main Street, New Paltz, NY 12561

We like this coffee shop for a pre or post hike snack and it is in a cute outdoor mall.

Things to Do in Kingston

Kingston was the first capital of New York in 1777. It's historic and the only city in Ulster County (New Paltz is an incorporated town).

Masa Turkish Restaurant

666 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401

This restaurant came highly recommended! "Really good, reasonable prices"

FAQs

The Wedding Website of Leah Tepperman and EllaRose Chary
If you have any questions please text us anytime or email Leah: leahtepperman04@gmail.com
Question

Is upstate New York pizza as good as New York City pizza?

Answer

You will have to judge for yourself.

Question

Can I Bring My Dog?

Answer

Well behaved dogs are certainly welcome outside at DH Canal and Ollies. If you think your pup will have any issues being around a lot of people, other dogs, and food please leave them at home. Any disruptive animals will be asked to leave Ollies.

Question

Will Louie Be at the Wedding?

Answer

Louie will not be attending the ceremony since he has a reputation for being loud if he is not given full attention. However, because he is very handsome and gets away with it based on his good looks, he has managed to find himself a chauffeur driver and will be attending the pizza party.
