This event will be on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe. A portion of the amount paid to rent this space will be also paid to the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe. We do this as a way to acknowledge and respect the ongoing presence of Indigenous people on their ancestral lands.
We are honored to celebrate our commitment to each other in this lovely place. Join us in celebrating and honoring love, joy and connection. Kids are welcome to attend from 6:30-9:30. We will have food, music, na drinks, games, guest books, house plant clipping station, etc. There will be an after hours dance party and performances from 9:30-10:30. 6:30 Arrival of guests (Come as early as you'd like to enjoy the park!) 6:45 Opening circle 7-8pm Eat, drink and enjoy yourself! Optional Sunset Silent Disco hosted by the lovely Dana Carr outside by the bay. 8-9:30 Dessert, toasts, Layla & Woods' dance and family dance party 9:30-10:30 Til Death Do Us Party! After hours party with pole and burlesque performances Wear whatever you feel best in! It will be a late September day on the coast, typically mid 60's during the day. We recommend layers. The celebration is indoor/outdoor. For food, you can expect a breakfast-for-dinner bar and dessert. Please RSVP by Aug 15, 2025

Bellingham has excellent busses that make it easy to get around town. You can take the bus right to the reception venue. One trip is a only a dollar. Visit this page for info on bus schedules.

There will be a Dockside Market from 10am- 2pm the same day and location as the reception (Zuanich Park/ Squalicum Harbor). There will be local fishermen selling their catches along with local artists and food vendors.

One of our most visited parks on Bellingham! Great place to skate, bike ride, picnic, hammock hang, ponder and take a dip in the bay. There is a stunning boardwalk over the water where you can typically see seals playing.
Home of the state's longest pier with amazing vies of Bellingham, Mount Baker and the bay. Plus there's dogs running around! Timber & Banjo's favorite place to play and sniff!

Yes! Kids are welcome until 9:30pm. There is a playground on site and we will have kid activities at the event.
We will have a breakfast bar and desserts with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options along with a variety of na beverages.
We are having the commitment ceremony on Aug 20, 2025. We wanted to have an intimate ceremony in the forest and then celebrate later! We are looking forward to a forest wedding and mini honeymoon in a tree house :)
