Friends and loved ones, We are saddened to announce that Jacob and I have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration scheduled on August 28, 2021 due to a change in the timing of his current trainings. We did not come to this decision lightly, as you know from our numerous attempts to postpone this celebration. We would have loved nothing more than to celebrate our marriage with you. We apologize for the lack of consistency and overall changes in regard to our wedding, and sincerely hope we did not cause an inconvenience for you with travel plans to be here with us. We appreciate you, our support system and loved ones, more than you know. As we approach our first anniversary in June, we cannot help but look back on the year of support each of you have provided for us. Even though we are unable to celebrate together in person, we feel as loved as we ever have. Thank you again! Please let us know if you have any questions. With Love, The Covingtons
Jacob and I are finally able to set a date for our wedding celebration of August 28, 2021. We will be sending our formal invitations (again), but you also have the ability to RSVP online. It will still take place at Hayes Hollow at Hidden Falls at 2222 Bridal Veil, Spring Branch, TX 78070. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
It is with a heavy heart that Jacob and I are announcing another postponement of our wedding celebration due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19 in the United States. When we made the initial decision to postpone our original wedding of June 20, 2020, there was not a doubt in our mind that we still had to be married on our original date. We had a beautiful “micro-wedding” with our precious families in Austin, Texas. We are so fortunate to have been able to do that safely and begin our lives as Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Covington. We have since relocated to our new home in Fort Benning, Georgia. Jacob is set to begin Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course on November 1, 2020. Upon completion of this course, he will also attend Airborne School and Ranger School. I am currently finishing my Master’s degree at Baylor University and working remotely, while enjoying time with our precious puppy, Ella. We have found out in the best way possible that the Lord truly does place the biggest blessings in your life through circumstances you never thought imaginable. Through a pandemic, three different states to call home since March, loss of jobs and change of plans, and the turmoil being seen in our country today, Jacob and I figured out that home really isn’t a place. Home is a person. No matter how many “things” we think we need - it comes down to the loved ones we have at the end of the day. Due to the varying state of coronavirus in America and Jacob’s military commitments, we do not currently have a date in mind to actually postpone our celebration to. When we do know this, we promise to let you know and we hope that you can join us as we renew our vows with our loved ones present. Like most, we never thought that these circumstances would arise, but we are so immensely thankful for the love and patience that you have each shown us through this time. If you do happen to have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
Jacob and I have made the very difficult decision to postpone our wedding due to the light of the current events. Your health and safety are our top priority. We will be postponing to October 11, 2020 - same location, same time. This wasn't an easy decision for us. We will be sending out new information to our guests and loved ones as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and your understanding during these unprecedented times. We can't wait to dance the night away with you, then!
