It was 1996, we met in trade school, building maintenance and medical assisting. We became friends through the student union. In 1997 we decided to commit to a relationship and raise our children together, both of us were single parents at the time with the same goals. We welcomed our first daughter in 2000, then moved from Oakland to the suburbs. 2002 we welcomed #4 another son. 2004 we made it official at City Hall in Stockton. We moved back to the Bay in 2006 and in 2007 a beautiful baby, #5 was born. June that year we moved to Treasure Island. Our eldest. #1 moved to Makati, Philippines in 2009, and our first grandson was born 2010. After navigating several of life’s challenges our family began working in and giving back to our community regularly, establishing an active presence until this day. In 2011 Bryant accepted his call to ministry and the real adventure began! We became one of those large families in church whose last name starts with B. 2016 Surprise! Breston baby #6, by then Bryant had 4 surgeries and #1 finally came back from the Philippines, his family soon to follow. 2018 all our children were growing, thriving, and graduating. 2020............................. We are still reeling from 2020. Bryant was diagnosed with serious nerve damage and required major surgery. Part of his vertebrae was to be removed. February that year our second oldest son was in the hospital with an aneurysm and other underlying conditions. At the beginning of March, the world shut down and we found out I was pregnant. In April, our son died. " I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Ps. 27:13 #4 graduated from high school. Bryant prepped for surgery and #5 became a freshman. #6 was growing. So much was going on that year. But GOD....a healer of heart and soul, He knew. He always has a plan. His grace, mercy, and comfort ever present in our lives then and now. Baby Breston #7 was born in September 2020. Bryant had a successful surgery in December. We have lost so much, and yet gained so much more. The journey is real y'all. We have come to know the true power and love of God in our lives. The journey continues, and the 2020’s was a rough ride, the loss of close friends, and our parents. There was another serious diagnosis, and another successful surgery. Still God saw fit to bring us through, and looking back we recognize…it is the going through that gets us through, and its no going without God. We learned that along the way, It's how we made it here. We are better, grateful people because of it. On this day before God, family, and close friends we want to celebrate. Celebrating everything we have come through, and everything to come. We would be honored with your presence.

Growing up Breston...21 years with them and you learn a lot. Mom and Dad was hard workers. They made sure we had a roof over our heads, food on plate, and made sure we got an education to succeed and life. True the roads was hard at times but look at how much we have progressed. I’m not gonna say I was the best kid, but I wasn’t bad either. That’s all thanks to these two. From the 9 pounds and 3 ounce baby to now best man at y’all wedding, life is nice. So cheers to the Brestons for the 21 years I've known them and more to come! Y’all are like the morning and night without one, a day is not complete. Congratulations mom and dad. Sincerely, current middle child and best man Kwan.
