Francisca doesn't have permanent residence yet in the United States, and we recently got notified by her immigration lawyer that there is a small chance that her current visa will not be extended. We applied both for an extension of her current work visa and for a permanent residence, but the outcome of both applications is not certain. We are both convinced it is a matter of when, not if, Fran will be able to stay in the US, but we don't want any of our guests to take the risk of arranging flights and accommodation while it's not certain that Fran will be able to stay in the USA this summer. So the plan is to wait until Fran has a definitive status in the US, and then we will pick a new date to celebrate our wedding and we hope you can make it then!
