Our Love Story - Forever and Always I was HAPPILY single! A young vibrant, BEAUTIFUL, divorced mom; casually and cautiously navigating the dating world, raising my 3 children, and seeking direction from God for my future in the medical field. And yall!!!! He was single, SINGLE! A young determined “alright looking”…OKAY, okay, okay… he was HANDSOME, divorced dad; desiring companionship as he sought Gods peace and divine purpose through sermon and song. March 5, 2001-It was a Sunday like no other! We were being setup… and at an afternoon CHURCH service of all places!!! I was excited internally but very reserved as to protect myself, and not offering anything! Nope, wasn’t sharing much information at all! He was gonna have to WORK for this! He was anxious, nervous, and excited all at the same time!!! Dare I say HE WAS SPEECHLESS!!! Yeeeessss yall!!! Roswald was speechless!!! Struck by my beauty! UH HUH, That’s what HE SAID! We talked a little, enough for me to be comfortable exchanging contact information,  and with a little flutter of my eyes and coy grin, unbeknownst to us, we were becoming. March 12,2001- A week had passed. We had talked enough for me to commit to a 1st date and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Picture this if you will… rose pedals strewn across the floor from the kitchen to the living room where it was dimly lit by the flames of the fireplace, where we shared sweet strawberries, mild cheeses, delicately sliced nuts and more… everything was perfectly set, conversation gently flowed, interest had definitely peaked in both of us, our desires were in demand (but not acted on) 😉 the evening was elegantly Chefs Kiss 💋 Future to present day - we have been inseparable. Our families have become one, 7 boys and 1 girl. We’ve loved each other, been mad and disappointed in each other, sometimes wanted to leave each other but scripture says “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Mark 10:9, so we push through on Gods grace, Gods love for us, and our love for each other, we remain together, in love more than when we met, with greater respect, compassion, and more care than we could have ever imagined. We don’t just love each other, we LIKE each other! We know that we are not perfect people but we are the perfect people for each other and we desire and pray that our love story honors God, sets the standard for our adult children and extended family, and reveals to all who are apart of our lives that love truly does prevail if you let it. Welcome to our vow renewal! 25 years ago NOV 21, 2001 we married and NOV 21, 2026 we celebrate our union and pray that love handles you gently, carefully, and with Gods grace and love.
