We meet in 2012 downtown Charleston one weekend. After a few weeks of trying distance with a Lara having a new baby girl, they went their separate ways. Thanks to Facebook, we were able to stay in contact and see each other grow. Along came 2020 and Covid started Wes, sent Lara a Facebook message and the rest is history. We reconnected and instantly knew this was the right time for us to be together.

New Years Eve Wes sent Baylee and I to get a manicure and pedicure. He told me that we needed something nice to wear because we are going to the fancy Italian restaurant in Summerville. Little to find out, when we got downtown Summerville, he had other plans in mind. We walked towards downtown and in front of the fountain, he proposed. Of course Baylee was right in the middle. Then after of course saying "absolutely!" , Wes pulled out a little box of earrings and necklace, and "proposed" to Baylee too! That was not even the end of the evening, we didn't get Italian, but instead we went to the Mexican restaurant, where all our family was waiting to congratulate and celebrate with us.
