About the Couple
The bride, Tracey Ford, was born in the Bronx, NY, and proudly raised in Queens. The groom, Langston Sessoms, was born in Harlem, NY, and proudly raised in NW D.C. Tracey and Langston have a long history thanks to their careers in media. Their paths first crossed in the mid-2000s—Langston, a digital marketing wiz and agency owner, and Tracey, a writer/editor for popular music magazines, communicated often via email. Though their interactions were professional, mutual respect was established. In 2018, fate brought them together again, and by 2022, their shared sense of humor, love for hip hop, television, film, and easy weekend hangs in Brooklyn made them inseparable. Langston proposed on New Year’s (Jan. 1, 2025) on a rooftop in Jamaica — one of their favorite places — moments after the clock struck midnight in front of family and friends. Now, Tracey and Langston invite you to join them on January 3, 2026, at Haven Riviera Cancun as they commit to forever.

We worked really hard to negotiate the best rate for you all for that time of year. See below for everything you need to know about booking your stay at Haven Riviera Cancun: We advise that you book on a desktop/laptop and not on mobile. When using the link, you’re reserving your room and won’t have to pay the full amount due for your stay until it’s time to check-in. If you have an issue or see any discrepancy with your booking feel free to contact Haven directly. You can contact Lizandro Coronado at +52 998 889 9600 ext. 7603 or leisuregroups@havenresorts.com. We do not mind if you decide to book via a 3rd party site (Expedia, TripAdvisor, Priceline, etc.) but please let us know if you do so we can release rooms and let the hotel know that you’re a wedding guest even though you booked separately. You have until October to reserve your stay via the link but we need you to RSVP no later than September 6th. As you can see, you have the option to arrive as early as Dec. 29 and stay as late as January 8 via the link. You can stay for as long or as short of a time as you like but we do ask that you arrive by January 2nd to attend the welcome dinner. Please reach out to Lizandro Coronado (leisuregroups@havenresorts.com) and Neidy (reservations.hrc@havenresorts.com) if you're having any trouble selecting your desired date on the booking site. They can take the reservation via email and get you sorted out. Also, feel free to reach out to us! We blocked one category of rooms — the partial ocean view junior suite. If you would like a different room category, reach out to Lizandro at +52 998 889 9600 ext. 7603 (or leisuregroups@havenresorts.com) to discuss adjusting the room category to fit your needs.

When should I book my flight and hotel?

We recommend booking as early as possible to get the best rates—ideally 3–6 months in advance.

Yes! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Haven Riviera Cancun. Use the booking link on our Travel & Lodging page to secure the group rate by October 1. Let us know if you have an issue with the link.

The nearest airport is in Cancun (CUN) about 15 minutes from the resort.

What should I wear?

The dress code is semi formal. No jeans or sneakers. No ball gowns or tuxedo. We’d love for you to comfortably land somewhere in the middle, and ask that the bride be the only woman in white.

Yes! We’re hosting a welcome dinner, and invite you to join us on a taco tour and catamaran ride (separately). We’ll share the info for the taco tour and catamaran ride closer to the date.
