It all began in May 2019, on an ordinary day that turned out to be fate. La’Nai had just walked into a Tropical Smoothie in Hampton, VA, when she noticed a guy deep in conversation, clearly in the middle of a business meeting. That guy was Jeremy. She didn’t say a word... just admired him from afar, not knowing he was also a Hampton student. As fate would have it, the very next day, La’Nai randomly came across Jeremy on Instagram and decided to shoot her shot. That first message turned into an all-night conversation about life, family, and dreams. Within a few days of talking, Jeremy and La'Nai made the spontaneous decision to spend an entire week together during summer break in Hampton. From that moment on, their story truly began. Throughout that summer, they met halfway in Washington, D.C., for weekend adventures. Two broke college students making memories, falling in love over long hikes, DC brunch, and random weekend trips. They have been inseparable ever since. Now, years later, they’re living where it all began, the DMV, with their doggiechild Chai, still writing their love story every single day.
