The couple initially connected online over Instagram over some art prompt that was meant as something to do during lockdowns. They had spent close to 2 weeks chatting online and over the phone until we decided to meet. Lamar thought he was going to sweep Ruby away but was instead swept off of his feet instead, the moment Ruby bought out and showed him 2 shoeboxes of sketches she had from her recently finished bachelor's Degree from the prestigious SAiC. From then on, it has felt like we are still looking at those sketches. With all that we have been through, all the ups and downs, it still feels like we are mulling over sketches and coming up with ideas in Ruby's Northside Chicago apartment. Love at first sketch!
