Where it all started

Gabriel and Kylie first met a little over 6 years ago through mutual friends at indoor soccer. It took some time for them to get each others phone numbers but once they did they each discovered an instant spark between each other. And the rest is history!

The big question

February 24, 2023

It was a random Friday thinking we were heading to the BeerGarden to meet our friends Taylor and Devin, but on the drive there Kylie could sense something was up. Gabriel had suggested we go get a drink at this new place in town before meeting up with our friends, then he suddenly drove to the top of a parking garage as sunset was starting to happen. Once out of the car Kylie saw her very special photographer friend, Devyn, and instantly started crying as Gabriel walked her to the candles Devyn had set up. He nervously got on one knee, popped the question and a bottle of champagne. We arrived at the BeerGarden shortly after to find some of our closest friends, our baby girl Sophia and her cousin Zuko for an instant celebration of the two.

Travel

We obviously understand this is a destination wedding and we want our people to make their own vacation out of this experience! We have our three days planned that we would like everyone to be there for but we really want everyone to enjoy Mexico and all the amazing things it has to offer! We personally recommend flying direct from Portland, OR to Puerto Vallarta. Flights are more affordable that way and it's just easier with direct but obviously please do what you feel is best for you. As far as staying, we love the experience with AirB&B. Being able to make breakfast in is what we prefer. We strongly recommend staying in the Romantic Zone of PV. It's incredibly walkable, a lot of food, shops, and easy access to the beach! There are plenty of hotels/resorts in PV as well, again we want everyone to do what is comfortable for them.

The line will be worth the wait, we promise 😉

Mar Y Vino

106 Manuel M. Dieguez, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48380, Mexico

One of our favorite places to have dinner and watch the sunset, we definitely recommend sitting poolside!

Vallarta Botanical Gardens AC

Km 24 Carretera Costera a Barra de Navidad, Jal. 48425, Mexico

Malecón Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48300, Mexico

The Malecón, or pier, is a great place to walk with plenty of stores, restaurants, and stunning views of the ocean! We recommend this around sunset but really any time of day its great.

Questions about getting to Mexico?

The Wedding Website of Kylie Pierson and Gabriel Cantoran-Ochoa
We have a wonderful travel agent, Sheila, who is more than happy to help with accommodations for our guest. She also accepts payments, which we all know can be very helpful :) Sunrise Travel Sheila@sunrisetravel.us 541-343-6818
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We need all of our RSVP's submitted by January 31, 2024.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have decided to forgo a wedding registry, your presence in Mexico is all we ask for. However, if you would like to donate towards our house fund donations can be made via the link in the Registry tab.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The boat takes off at 4:30pm, please arrive 15 minutes early to the port. The address will be provided on itineraries that will be emailed to everyone once closer to the date.

Question

Getting around PV?

Answer

Uber and taxi is the best way, you'll find Uber's to be much cheaper. Although once arrived at the airport it's much easier to take a taxi, due to local rules about Uber's hanging around on the airport property. But taking an Uber to the airport there is no issues with that.

Question

Money exchanging

Answer

First, we want to remind our guests to notify your bank/s before you get to Mexico that way you don't have any issues. For exchanging your dollars to pesos, we recommend doing it state side, that way you get the best exchange rate. Many banks/credit unions offer this service as well as at international airports.

Question

Want to buddy up with some friends?

Answer

Please do not hesitate to reach out to one of us if you would like to group up with other guest and stay together (it definitely makes it more fun to have a group of 4-6ppl) We are happy to help coordinate a set up if you feel that's a good fit for you.

Registry

Your presence is plenty enough of a gift, but if you're feeling generous, we would be so thankful for a donation to our future home fund.
