Cardiff-by-the-Sea to Encinitas Walk
One of our favourite walks. Start in Cardiff-by-the-Sea and walk along the Coastal Rail Trail to Encinitas, where you can enjoy great food and coffee (plus amazing ocean views).

What time should we arrive for the wedding ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will start promptly at 3:00 PM PDT. We recommend planning to arrive at the church no later than 2:45 PDT, especially if you will need to find street parking.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is street parking in La Jolla around the church, and the reception venue is across the street from the church. As most parking around the church and reception venue is 2-hour parking and La Jolla strictly enforces parking restrictions, we would recommend either using a ride-share service or parking in a paid parking lot.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
The Cuvier Club can absolutely accommodate any dietary restrictions. Just let us know in advance, and we will let the venue know.

What will the weather be like in San Diego this time of year?
Answer
San Diego is blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate, with warm, sunny, dry summers and cool, wet winters. In April, temperatures range from an average low of 56°F (13°C) to 68°F (20°C). Expect cool temperatures in the mornings and evenings and warm, sunny days.

Answer
The wedding ceremony will be indoors, at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. The reception will be held across the street at the Cuvier Club. The reception will have both an outdoor space and an indoor space, where dinner will be served.
