Our Story
We met in the city right after Mikaella finished her Bachelors in Secondary Education for Math at DePaul and Kyle was choosing his next University. So it's safe to say that we were both in a big life transition period. Throughout the next 8 years we have been there for each other for every new change we encountered: Kyle finished his Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering at NIU, endured a long commute to work at Apple, and started a career at Abbott Laboratories where Kyle was voted the 2024 US Top Tech Specialist and National Product Lead. Mikaella endured a long commute working for City Year, worked a few odd jobs, then joined Teach for America and finished her Masters in Teaching from Relay GSE while teaching 8th grade math full time. For the 2024-2025 school year Mikaella was awarded Teacher of the Year at the school she teaches. We look forward to more years together for every new change still yet to come.

Both O'Hare and Midway airports are about 20-30 minutes from the Hotel by car. The Hotel is about 30 minutes from the Church by car. Rideshare services (Uber & Lyft) are easily accessible and affordable.
