Hotel

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta - all inclusive

Carretera Costera a Barra de Navidad, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48390, Mexico
 (833) 284-9288

The wedding party will be staying at the Hyatt Ziva from 01/18 - 01/22. We HIGHLY recommend staying at the resort for the night of the wedding due to the process of entering and leaving the property. There will also be an applied charge for a "resort fee" if you attend the wedding without staying at the resort. (See FAQ below for details about staying outside the resort) There is no room block for reservations and the resort is on the smaller side, so we encourage guests to reserve rooms ASAP to ensure that they are able to stay at the resort.

FAQs

Question

Can I wear high heels?

Answer

The ceremony will be happening on the beach. Due to the sand, it would be recommended to wear a block heel, wedge, sandal, or flat.

Question

How do we book transportation?

Answer

There are a few ways to get to the resort from the airport. You can call the hotel and book a shuttle through them, or you can reserve a cab online.

Question

Is there Uber at the PV airport?

Answer

There is Uber, however, they are not able to operate outside of the airport. It’s a bit of a hike to get to the Uber pickup so it won’t be recommended to use this option. It is, however, the most affordable transit option. You can find detailed steps for ordering Ubers at PV airport on this blog post (https://twosolesabroad.com/how-to-get-an-uber-from-puerto-vallarta-airport/).

Question

What if I stay outside of the resort?

Answer

You absolutely can book a hotel elsewhere when attending the ceremony; however, there are a few things to note. When attending, you must arrive between 3 - 4pm. You also must leave the resort no later than 11pm. You will also be asked to pay a $150 resort fee which is not included in your headcount as a wedding guest. We encourage our guests to stay at the Hyatt Ziva, but it is up to you where you’d like to book your accommodations.

Question

Do we need to tip even though it’s an all inclusive resort?

Answer

While tipping at the resort is not required, it’s encouraged to tip the staff. The general rule of thumb is $1 USD per drink and $5 per meal. So be sure to bring lots of singles to tip throughout your stay!

Question

Will we all be eating meals together throughout our stay?

Answer

The resort doesn’t accommodate large parties for meals, because of this, we will not be joining for large dinners together outside of the wedding. We can; however, meet at one of the bars or beach clubs to all gather throughout the trip.

Question

I’m not able to attend, is there a wedding registry we can give to?

Answer

We have decided not to expect gifts or contributions from our guests due to the costs associated with traveling to a destination wedding. However, if you are not attending and would like to give towards our wedding, contributions can be sent to our home address 1310 NW Naito Pkwy APT 409, Portland, OR 97209.
