Welcome Boat

Nautical nod 🛳️ Light colored pants and collared shirts, linen. Sundresses. Save the solid white for the bride 👰🏻‍♀️

🚗 The boat is the “Chicago Elite”. If you are driving, we recommend parking in the East Parking Garage near door 10 for easiest access. ⚠️ Please note the boat has a maximum capacity of 150 guests. If you are sure you can make it, we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible, as availability will be first come, first served. 🍽️ There will be a dinner buffet and cocktails. 🕔 Boarding will be from 5:30-6pm. We're excited to see you there!

Travel

As you plan your hotel accommodation and transportation, please note that while the Welcome Boat at Navy Pier is in downtown Chicago on Friday, the wedding and reception will be held in Lake Forest on Saturday, about an hour drive from Navy Pier. We highly encourage you to stay in Lake Forest on Saturday night near the venue (the party goes until 11:30pm 😉). Shuttle service will be provided from the listed hotels in Lake Forest to and from our wedding venue on Saturday. Please use the buttons below to book at these hotels and take advantage of the group rate. For those hoping to explore Chicago before the big night, the UP-N Metra goes directly from Lake Forest to downtown Chicago (West Loop area). One-way tickets are under $5 and can be purchased through the Ventra app. Alternatively, there are many great hotel options near Navy Pier for you to stay Friday night after the Welcome Boat!

Flight

ORD

For those staying in downtown Chicago Friday night, we highly recommend you take the Metra from ORD into downtown Chicago. Traffic can be very uncomfortable (and not much faster) from ORD into Chicago. For those staying in Lake Forest or other northern suburbs, we recommend calling an Uber/Lyft from Terminal 2. Buses and rental cars are also available from ORD’s MMF.
