It was 3pm on Friday, February 12th and Bella sat awaiting the start of one of the worst classes at USC. "Just two hours and I will have Valentine's Day weekend all to myself with my three favorite valentines: my dogs," she thought. If only she knew then that those two hours would change the trajectory of her whole life. Surprisingly, Kyle actually attended this bore of a class that Friday and, thank God he did, because as soon as he walked in the room, he gazed upon this girl in the second row and the one empty seat next to her. He knew he had to grab the seat before one of his roommates did. With an impulsive courage from deep within, he quickly walked over, stuck his hand in front of her face and said, "Hi, I'm Kyle, I don't think we've met, but I've seen you around and I just wanted to introduce myself." So sly. So cool. So proper and chivalrous--or so he thought. Bella couldn't believe a 21 year-old boy at USC was actually offering to SHAKE HER HAND?! She had met so many immature, lost, fraternity boys and had grown cynical, not believing there were any good ones left. But, as she followed this outstretched arm and found it connected to the most beautiful face she'd ever seen, she knew she couldn't let this one go. There was more than simple attraction drawing her to this gorgeous human--there was an energy, a magnetic field pulling them towards each other. She felt as if she had known him lifetimes, despite him not even knowing her name yet. Bella, a believer in all things "woo-woo," knew this was divine intervention. They proceeded to flirt the entire class and even got reprimanded by the teacher and the guest speaker for snickering. It wasn't their fault the "Finance for Actors" class wasn't drawing their attention nearly as much as they drew each other's! After what felt like an eternity, the class was over, and Kyle reconnected with his roommates. He was stunned, not knowing what just hit him; he could barely speak. "Maybe this incredible energy was all in my head," Bella thought. Attempting to save the moment she boldly called after Kyle saying, "So...are we hanging out or what?!" "Thank god she said something," Kyle thought, but he could barely muster a response. All that dribbled out of his mouth was, "Oh... Uh.. Yeah, sure." So sly. So cool. So chill. Bella and Kyle took the walk back to his apartment with Kyle's roommates. They opened the door and Bella was stunned to find none other than her long time high school friend, Autumn. She had known Autumn since she was 12 and if she didn't already feel at home with this relative stranger, she certainly did now. It turns out Autumn was dating Kyle's long time friend from high school, Dor, whom Kyle had also known since he was 12. "Wow, what a weird coincidence," Bella thought (though she believed already it was fate). Kyle and his three roommates had put all of their record collections together, totaling about 200 records in all. Kyle suggested Bella pick out a record to listen to. As his five friends sat on the couch, staring at her back, she nervously thumbed through the albums, knowing this was a test of some sort. Passing all of the newer albums, she made her way to the 70's section, and pulled out "Fresh" by Sly and the Family Stone. Nervously, she turned to them and asked, "Is this okay?" All of their jaws dropped. "I can pick out something else," she quickly added, worried she hit a nerve. "No, please don't...That's actually my favorite record of all time," Kyle said with his trademark smirk. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Three days after their fated meeting, Bella accidentally told Kyle she loved him as he was running out the door to class. "I didn't mean it!" she swore. But Kyle kissed her and said, "I love you, too."

Travel Note
The Palisades is the most special place on earth for us. It's our home, where we fell in love, where we go for solace, for happiness, for family. We are so grateful that the Bel-Air Bay Club is still standing and that they are willing to host our event in August. We are hopeful that it will be a celebration of the amazing memories we have had there and of all the life still left to live in the Palisades. Unfortunately, due to the fires, there are some uncertainties as to what types of accommodations will be available for our event. We know that things will be a bit more expensive and understand completely if this changes your availability. We would advise looking for hotels in Santa Monica or Westwood and Air B and Bs in Venice, Santa Monica, Brentwood, or Westwood. If you're willing to take a longer Uber, but perhaps pay a bit less per night, Culver City is another good option. We have listed hotels with a range of prices. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us!

This hotel is in Brentwood, about 15 minutes from the venue.
Hotel
This hotel is very reasonably priced for its location (for our dates it is about $300 a night). It is owned by one of our favorite restaurant groups and very close to both their restaurant and grocery. It is probably a ten minute Uber drive to our venue.

This place has housed Noelle and Tom after the fires for over a month!

Wander the meditation gardens at one of the most peaceful, special spots! Reservations are required to enter and reservations for the following week open on Saturday the week prior, so check the website before going. It is still standing after the Palisades Fire and Kyle swears this is because some of Ghandi's ashes are held here.
The Getty is incredible, but we've always been partial to the Getty Villa. It reminds us of our many trips together, as it is a recreation of a villa in Herculaneum that was actually burned down in a fire from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.... If it is still closed from our fire, don't miss the Getty!
We could watch the skaters at this skate park for hours and never get bored! This is where the Dogtown skating scene began. While you're there, check out Muscle Beach (on the beach, not the gym) and try your hand at the swinging rings--Bella will be so proud if you make it all the way through!
Many of you have heard the infamous story of Kyle and Tom at the Korean Spa... Well, now you'll understand it a bit better. This spa is actually a women-only version and Noelle and Bella's current favorite. Do not miss the scrub and massage combo! It is a definite drive, but well worth the effort. If you're looking for a co-ed Korean spa, check out Wi Spa.
Kyle loves nothing more than tiki cocktails, speakeasies, and music and this place has all of that. Lucky Tiki is located at The Doors 1970 workshop and recording studio, directly above the World Famous Tail o’ the Pup. When you arrive at Tail o’ the Pup, look for a red door on the Tail o’ the Pup patio. Next to the red door, you should see a dolly full of recent deliveries. Pay close attention to the pickle barrel...
If you know Bella, you know she loves kombucha. Head to June Shine tasting room for amazing hard kombucha and some nights live music!
This is the most special place in the world for us. We are heartbroken that Will Roger's original home, stables, and beautiful landscaping have all burned in the Palisades fire. If it is reopened to the public by August, please go hiking for us and support this area's regrowth. If not, there are so many beautiful hikes in Los Angeles, text Bella for recommendations!
The Friday night jam will be our typical, casual, music night that so many of you have experienced with Kyle and Bella and their families. Please, don't dress up. Add a little 60's/70's flare, if you feel so inclined because you know Bella will... There will be tacos and impromptu jams! For our wedding, please wear cocktail attire--maybe something you might wear to a nice dinner in Italy?! Don't buy a new outfit for us, we want you to be comfortable so you can dance all night! The ceremony will take place on grass, so leave the stilettos at home. Bella will probably be barefoot anyway!
We ask that only invited plus ones attend. We have limited space and so many people we love!
Please leave your kids at home and take the night to yourselves, if you're able. So many of our friends have recently had babies and while we love them so much, we don't have space for all of them at the venue and couldn't possibly pick and choose! Thank you so much for understanding.
Yes, there will be valet at the Bel-Air Bay Upper Club as you pull into the parking lot.
Bella is vegetarian, so there will be plenty of vegetarian options available. The dinner will be family style, so if you have severe allergies, please reach out to Bella and she will communicate them as best she can with you and the venue.
