Sam and I both attended school together, but never really spoke to each other. As senior year was coming to an end, we started texting and got to know each other a little better. After graduation, Sam left for bootcamp, we continued communicating by writing letters back and forth. As soon as Sam was able to make phone calls, we called each other every day. Through our letters and phone calls we grew very close. We would see each other whenever he was able to come home and once a year I would travel to see him. Despite the distance, we both always knew that we were right for each other no matter how far apart we were. And the rest is history!
