In March 2019 Kris' friend convinced her to try a San Diego running group known as the Hash House Harriers. She had a great time at her first run and already knew a few people in the group, so when Amy couldn't make the next weekend, she went on my own. Kris noticed Jarrod right away since the jeans he was wearing looked out of place at a running event. After giving him a bad time about the jeans, they chatted a bit and Kris learned that he had been running with the Hash for about 3 years and was really involved in the group. Over the next few weeks, they saw each other at the Hash and chatted but it wasn't until the annual campout that he made a move and kissed her in the middle of the dance floor in front of all his friends! Happy hours and running dates followed and they became a couple quickly. Only 8 months in, Covid hit and the real test began. Only being able to have contact with limited people, they were able to spend an extensive amount of quality time together, really solidifying their relationship. By August 2021 the couple moved in together and were working towards the next step. In March 2024 the couple went on an amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia and Jarrod dropped to one knee with the Sydney Opera House and bridge. It was an amazing moment. They are now excited to be getting married and sharing the experience with family and friends!
